Would you like a towel?

This morning as I left for work it stated to rain. Within a few minutes it was coming down in buckets. (and that's not an exaggeration!) I had an awful time seeing to drive and water was flooding the sides of the road. It only takes me about 10 minutes to get to work and I was really glad to get there. However, after I parked I thought I better get my umbrella. Where was it? In the back of the van! At this point I decided to run for it. I wasn't parked far from the building, but when I got in I was soaked. I bore a striking resemblance to this dog, but not quite as hairy. My scrubs were soaked, and my hair was actually dripping. I wondered at that point why I had bothered to dry and curl my hair before coming in. I ended up toweling myself off, then blow drying my hair and blow drying my scrubs as well. I spent the day walking around with flat hair. It's supposed to rain again tomorrow. I think my umbrella will be up front with me!

i understand! that happened to me on monday. i was going to be in the office all day, but just in case i was to take in jeans and a t-shirt for the warehouse. well, after running in w/out an umbrella and in like 2 inch heels they say- change for the ware house, so i did. then realized my tennis shoes are in my car! so i run out w/ a borrowed umbrella- but it didn't help much! i was wet for awhile the rest of the day :(

You are too funny! I'm sure you didn't look like that dog! Just as cute though. If it helps any - my hair didn't look any better. Plus I lost half my makeup too! Oh well - we needed the rain!

I'm just staying in the house. I'm really glad we went to the fair on Tuesday instead of last night. Dad and Ann were going then.

I'm sorry but that made me chuckle. It really was raining this morning and you're right they're saying medium chance of severe weather again tonight!

Aw. Poor Mari. I'm sure you still radiated empathy and professionalism, even with your flat hair and chafing damp scrubs! Hee. Maybe you need one of those lovely plastic rain hats our grandmothers used to wear. The kind that fold up into the little plastic envelope? Remember those? LUVLY! And so CONVENIENT! ♥, M
