This is Bob's latest carving. The name of this carving is 'The Patriot'. He is an older, patriotic man who is marching with a flag. I think this is one of his best carvings. The details in his clothing and the flag are really great. He says that when he carves, he can see the figure inside and just has to carve the excess wood off to get it out. Isn't it a wonderful thing that God gave us each different talents to enjoy? If we all did the same thing, I don't think we would receive as much joy from the things we are able to do or the things we see others do.

I love that one, but I still think my favorite (for now) is the old man fishing with the hook stuck in his butt!
I do love this one too- he really is talented. You're right though we appreciate it alot more because we all have different talents.
