Cooking Thursday

It's time for another recipe. Stop over at Sandra's place to see what everyone else has to share! We were at the home of some friends last week and had a wonderful fruit dessert. I made it this week and we all love it. It's so refreshing on a hot day.

Fruit Slush
1 cup sugar
2 1/2 cup water
6 oz. frozen lemonade concentrate(thawed)
6 oz frozen orange juice concentrate
8 oz frozen strawberries (I used 12 ounces fresh)
16 oz crushed pineapple with juice
4 medium bananas
Cut fruit into small pieces.
Stir together water and sugar; then mix in juice concentrate.
Stir altogether and freeze.
Scoop into individual bowls and pour just a little bit of 7UP or Ginger Ale over the top.
Enjoy!

I've been waiting for this one since you told me about it. Sounds really yummy and easy to keep in the freezer for a quick cool treat.

I have a lot of strawberries left over from mom's funeral fellowship time. This gives me another great way to use them up - especially when the grands come and the weather is hotter! Have made enough jam already!

I've never heard of this one, but it sounds so refreshing! I love this type of dessert, you don't feel quite so guilty as when you eat a piece of cake loaded with frosting! LOL!

It's been years since I had fruit slush! I had forgotten all about it! Gonna whip some up very soon. Thanks for reminding me!

BTW I made your no-bake cookie recipe for Memorial Day and boy was that a hit. SO EASY and so good ... yumyumyum I want me some more. Yes ... they're already gone ... although I did send some to Andrew! LOL

Sounds so good. Right now it´s cold again here, so I´ll wait till it warms up to make this.

Mari - made it to serve tonight, and everyone liked it - but then I blended it into a smoothie -- and everyone LOVED it.
