A little weekend fun

We had a busy weekend!  Friday night was something we always look forward to. Our church has a sweetheart dinner every year around Valentines Day.  There is a delicious meal and the youth dress up and do the serving.  They have 2 different times, we came to the later one because both Bob and I were working that day.
They set up tables and decorated the Narthex, everything looked great.

We were with 2 other couples.  We had such fun, lots of good conversation and laughter.

Look at this yummy meal!  Salad, homemade rolls, prime rib, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans almondine and red velvet truffle to finish it off!

Saturday afternoon I was back at church for a bridal shower for a young girl from church.  I remember bringing a meal to her family when she was born, and now she's getting married!

Saturday evening we had Cassie over, while Heather and Andrew went out for supper for their anniversary.

Is there anything more fun than building and knocking over towers?

I love those brown eyes.

She pulled out every stuffed animal we have.

How can she sit like that?  And then stand up from that position.  :)

There was big excitement when a package arrived.  "Grandpa, get in the box!"  Of course he did!

Such a fun night!

What a cute box photo!! And what a meal you had! So did the youth cook it as well as serve it, or was it catered?

Cassie is so cute and she sure loves being with her grandma and grandpa! Your Sweethearts dinner at church looks great. So glad that you could go and have a nice time. Big snow storm here tonight and tomorrow, so it will probably be coming your way soon. Stay warm and safe. See you again soon!

Your meal looked wonderful and delicious. Cassie is a real cutie. I love seeing these little ones. Goodness how quickly they grow up. Funny the things we do for the little ones. Sitting in boxes and such.
You had such a wonderful post here. I hope you are having a great week.

The Valentine's dinner sounds lovely and the food looked delicious. I miss having little ones around. Our littlest ones live in Virginia so we only see them two or three times a year. The oldest ones are here and we are they drivers to and from school activities but they are so busy we don't see nearly enough of them and our middle three are two hours away. They grow so fast enjoy these special days!

Wow! Looks like your church went all out with that meal.
Love the picture of Cassie in the box with Grandpa. I don't think I would be nimble enough to do that anymore, but I might try.
