I told you I did a fun craft with the girls last weekend, and today I'm going to show it to you. This was so easy and fun! If you have any young girls in your life, you would have a good time with this.
You need:
polymer clay
rubber stamps
Stamping ink
Necklace chain and metal loop
Optional - small square and circle cutters
First, take a small piece of clay and roll it out to about 1/8th inch thick. The LaChoy bottle is next to Ruby because we were using it to roll the clay.
Then choose your stamp, ink it and press it into the clay.
You then use the little cutter to cut out your shape around the stamp, or you can free hand cut the shape out if you don't have a cutter. Then use a toothpick to cut a little hole in the top, which you will use to hang it from your necklace.
Place your finished pieces on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper. Place in a preheated 200 degree oven and bake for 25 minutes.
When they are cool, place your metal loop through the hole in the top, and then string them onto your necklace chain.
Here's Ruby with her ladybug necklace.
And Alaina with her bee necklace. They really enjoyed this, and I did too!

This is AWESOME! I need to head to Michael's this week!!
Now this could be a craft for any young girl (and boys could make key chains?!). Love the whole idea.
How cute it that and look at those smiles.
What a neat craft and how cute those little necklaces are for a young girl!
Love it.
Cute idea.
Wondering, could these make kitchen magnets too?
Bake and glue a tiny magnet to back? -smile-
Gentle hugs
