Random Post!

Today I have a bunch of pictures that aren't related, just some pics of things in my life in the last week.

The lilacs are blooming!  It's a short period, but it sure makes me happy.

This is celery, growing on a celery farm I worked at when I was in high school.  I now drive by it every day on my way to and from work.  I love seeing those straight green rows.

We've had some beautiful mornings.

My work place is right next to a  beautiful, private golf course.    We see a steady stream of golfers going past our windows.

The funny thing is that we see a lot of them in these bushes, looking for a ball.

This azalea is making us happy.  We've had it for several years and we were lucky to get one bloom.  Last Fall Bob moved it to a new bed in front of our house and it's happy here!

I got this pretty planter to sit on the porch near the front door.

And, I'm saving the cutest for last!

Heather sent me this cute picture of Cassie last week with this message:
"Tell Jenny that Cassie has claimed the blanket she gave us when we got married!"
Jenny is my good friend (also known as the Pirate) from I'm having a Thought Here.  When Andrew and Heather got married, Jenny sent them this nice big blanket, and it's very soft.  Heather says that lately Cassie has been carrying it around, and snuggling in it on a regular basis.  She seems to be enjoying it!

And that's some random stuff from my little corner!

I had to peek at that golf club. It's very lovely and the weddings look like fun. I love anyplace with a stone fireplace and lots of windows!!

I've never seen celery growing before but I took a walk up by the farms today and saw rows of baby corn. Nice to see new green Leafs! Morning is so peaceful and lovely
It would be nice to live by a golf course theres always beautiful green scenery. One of the parks I walk is an old golf course the city bought and fixed up. It is a beautiful walking place now
Plants can be particular about where you put them for sure. Glad you azaleas are happy now

How lovely of Jenny, she really does have a heart of gold. I have never seen a celery field; it is like a work of art! The front of your house looks so pretty!

Cassie is adorable!! The flowers are all beautiful. My goofball would have been in those bushes any time I got close to them. I quit playing in 1981! LOL I enjoyed your photos, and just wish I could smell the lilacs!! xo

I've never seen a celery field but what a coincidence that my husband also worked on a celery farm, in Michigan, growing up. Thanks for sharing your photos and that little one is just adorable!

Grace & Peace,
Pam

I've never seen a celery field either. I don't know if we grow celery in California.

Your photos are pretty and yes, the last one was the cutest!

Interesting to see you many have never seen celery growing in a field. I probably say this each year - Dick grew up on a celery farm. He always smelled like celery when we first met and I have nostalgic feelings about that fragrance, hahaha!!

That picture of Cassie is precious!!

Lovely pictures. My fave is the planter next to the Welcome sign. And of course Cassie, who is just too cute.
P.S. Missing your visits to my blog. Feels like I've lost an old friend, LOL.
