Fun time with Cassie

We had Cassie over for a while Saturday afternoon and evening, while Heather and Andrew had a date night. We had such fun!

We started with a craft.  I got this little canvas bag at Hobby Lobby, along with some tie dye spray paint. I used my cricut to cut out the letters of her name and put them on the bag.
Then we helped her spray onto the bag, starting with darker colors in the middle, and getting lighter.

When we were done with that part, it had to air dry.  Cassie said she wanted to go to the playground.  That would be our swingset/play area.

After Grandpa pushed her on the swing, she had to push him too, and then Grandma as well...

Happy little face!

She loves Grandpa!

We walked to the neighbors house, where they have horses and donkeys.  They are very friendly and used to people.

She even got to pet the donkey.

Their newest additions are miniature highland cattle.  They are so cute!

We went to Chic-fil-A for supper.  That's always a hit!

She remembered playing with the Matryoshkas last time and had to go downstairs to play again.

The bag was dry, all I had to do was iron to set the color.  She was happy to be putting things into it and carrying it around.

She wanted to spend the night, so it's time to try that again.

Fun times!

What is it with Grandpas and Granddaughters? Its the same in our house.. when grandpa is around Im forgotten lol. Their bond is so special and I love it... especially as my dear hubby went through life never wanting children but has embraced my children, and now grandchildren.. with his whole heart. Such sweet pictures from your time with Cassie. That was a great project you came up with to make with her. How fun it would be to see those adorable animals at your neighbor's house. Wonderful memories you all made together.

Oh my word Cassie!!! I saved that pic of her hanging off the swing, to my Alaina-Ruby-Cassie folder! And speaking of Alaina, in the picture at Chick-fil-A, with her eyes downcast Cassie strongly resembles Alaina! I love the tote bag with her name. That is totes clever, haahahaha xoxo
