Combat flag

I'm a little late in sharing this!
This is a flag that Andy brought back with him from Afghanistan. He gave it to Bob when he came home on leave. It's a flag that was flown from an Apache helicopter (which is what Andy works on) during a combat mission.

It also came with this certificate of authenticity.
It's a special memento of his time there.

Oh, that's very nice!

You know, I've seen several of these flags in their triangle box at auctions. I always think it's so sad that nobody in the family wanted it...which obviously should have had some sentimental value to someone!

That is so awesome, Mari. Andy knows how to touch his dad's heart.

Wow, that is truly amazing to see. I sense the real weight of importance and sacrifice in this.

This is something to indeed cherish. I'm grateful that your son gave it to you instead of you being given it in honor of your son. What a blessing to have him back on US soil!

I love how sons want to give military stuff to their dads! Our Andrew is the same way. What a special and beautiful gift.
