We always enjoy seeing turkeys in the fields as we drive to church and back. And sometimes we see them just ambling either through our neighbors yard or up the middle of the road in front of our house. But this time of year, we are awakened each morning by their gobbling in the woods behind us.
Love this. We are seeing more wild turkeys now that the rains have stopped. Actually we have been hearing them out in a field near our house. Hopefully I can capture a few photos like you have. They sure are skinny compared to farm fed critters. Sue

We don’t have wild turkey here, but I expect she wanted to go for a walk! 😂
We have been seeing them here too. Janice
He was following the leader! He knew it was safe because this is Easter, not Thanksgiving. Who eats turkey for Easter? not me! LOL.
They look so different than domesticated farm turkeys.
I love seeing turkeys in the wild! Great picture!

To answer the question (from a Florida perspective), the turkey crossed the road to show the armadillos it can be done.
