Guess what? After a long, cold, snowy winter, Spring is showing up! I think it's such a happy time of year; blues skies, sunshine, warmer temps... and flowers!
I wandered around the yard and here's a few signs of Spring.
This is a spirea bush that has burgundy leaves when they open up, but starts out this orangy color.
This cute little blue flower is a wild flower named Star of Holland or woodland squill, that grows in our wooded area. It's tiny but grows in little patches that we can see from the house.
Here's what it looks like in a patch.
I love seeing these tiny little buds. It amazes me how fast they grow and pop open.
Even the pine trees have new growth.
The daffodils are so cheerful!
Reaching for the sun!
Happy Spring!
"For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land."
Song of Solomon 2:11-12

Your spring photos are just lovely!!!
It seems like it was just yesterday there was snow - and overnight - spring has sprung. What lovely and colorful flowers you have. So pretty!
Mari, this is a beautiful post and I love those little blue wildflowers. We don't have wildflowers here; well that's not true but we don't have wildflowers that you can pick. Any wildflower that grows in the desert is home to so many tiny little critters that you would not want to bring them in your house. Beautiful Bible verse and it fit your post perfectly. God bless you and have a lovely week.
Spring truly is a wonderful season. Soon you’ll be sharing even more of your garden flowers! I love that spring green color. I like the new growth on the pine trees, too. Those blue wildflowers are pretty. Your spirea bush, looked similar to what we have here - we have it’s long list cousin called a Douglas Spirea bush or Sparrowhawk - native to Northern California.
You know you’re getting old when you know the names of plants and birds! 🥴
Yes! Daffodils are definitely cheerful!! What a great description for them! They do scream Spring! Those patches of little blue flowers are pretty nice too! I'm glad you seem to be done with your cold winter now!! xo
I love your photos! The first two sure are pretty, but I have never seen any! Wish I could.
Really feeling good here
I love the smell of fresh pine!
I love the quote from the Song of Solomon. It's beautiful and it reflects the feeling that Spring has sprung.
Happy Spring, indeed! What a balm to the soul sunshine, and warmer temps and especially green and growing plant are!!
Love your pictures and the little blue flowers are so sweet!

Absolutely stunning.
Happy Spring to you too. I so love all the new growth and the various shades of green. Most of the spring blossoms are finished but everyone's roses are really blooming their heads off.
Wonderful photos Mari.

Yay for spring!! Everything is beginning to bloom here and while I've been sneezing, I've been smiling!! Happy Easter, too! Looks like you had a lovely day!
I love the Scripture verses. I remember on one episode of The Waltons that Olivia quoted those verses.
All of your pictures are so pretty, Mari. xx
Spring is looking most beautiful in your area. Always such a welcome sight after a long winter.
This just makes me smile and brings my heart joy! I see that my lily buds are starting to shoot up - I need to go check on my wild daffs and see if they're sprouting too. It is such a lovely time of year - like waking up from a long sleep. Love it! 🌸💚
This is an awesome post, my friend. You are great with a camera, and all those signs of spring are beautiful. Even though I am a fall girl, I appreciate these bright spots of spring! Thank you for sharing!
Glad to see spring showing up around your place.
What a perfect Bible verse for spring.
Wonderful Spring flowers ... a lovely post.
All the best Jan
I know you must be enjoying these signs of spring!
Spring is a truly lovely time of year. Great photos. Hope you are having a good week. See you again soon!
Lovely. I love going outside and the other day, took many of the same you did here. Today I tried to get the little purpleeee ones, only I have to go back. Very fun to be outside. Love me a good photo walk.
Glad Spring has arrived for you! You had such a long winter. Here we had beautiful weather until today. Now it is raining, but good for the vegetation. Nice pictures of Spring!
I love all the colors of Spring, and this post made me so happy! Such beauty God gives us in the renewing of the plants and land. I had purple spirea when we lived in a house with a yard, so never saw any of the first blooms with that gorgeous orange! We're finally in a week of possible rain, really need it so we can get to growing our garden at son's house! Hugs!
I'm so happy that Spring is finally springing!!!
