Sunflowers!

One day last week it was so pretty when I got up, that I decided to leave early for work and stop along the way at a sunflower field.  This field is owned by Bob's stepbrother and it's open to the public to come and pick flowers any time.  I've been there buying flowers, but I thought early morning was the perfect time to photograph them.

Everything was covered in dew, the sun was shining, and the air was cool, a perfect morning!  The field had no other visitors so early in the morning - just me and my camera.

Here's some pics - sunflowers of many varieties.

The sunflowers are so pretty, but I think the buds before they open are beautiful too.

I left with wet shoes from walking through the wet grass, but it was a great way to start the day.

Hi Mari. Beautiful pictures. I love sunflowers too! I thinking that walking through a field of sunflowers in the morning was well worth wet shoes! Thanks for sharing you pictures. Have a good week!

Oh my goodness, what wonderful shots! My favorite is the first one, it looks like the sun is radiating out from the center!

Nice photos! Ya know, I never used to be a fan of sunflowers. It's only been in the last few years that I've come around to liking them. It was so funny last year, we had a sunflower 'bush' grow from stray birdseed. They were mini flowers and it was like a bush, not a single stem/single flower. It was so cool! If I knew what kind that was I'd buy some seeds and plant more. And it never would have grown if I hadn't neglected yardwork last summer! LOL

Beautiful pictures of the sunflowers, Mari! Viewing the last several pictures was like watching the sunflower actually opening before my eyes! I never cease to be amazed at God's creation.

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing with us!
I would love a place like that...to gather a bouquet of sunflowers every week!
Of course, we have sunflowers, but nothing compared to that place.

Have a great rest of your week.

Oh my word Mari! These are breathtaking! I would totally do some of these on canvas through shutterfly and hang them up! You're right - it was an absolutely magical way to start your day. ☀️ 🌻
