We have a few varieties of lavender blooming. They smell so good!
Lots of yellow blooms! This is yellow yarrow.
These are some of our favorites. They are Stella de'Oro lilies. They are shorter than most lilies and seem to bloom longer.
I don't remember where we got these, but we were told they were buttercups. They are small, but cheery!
Another one we aren't sure of but think it's yellow pachysandra.
This is a ground cover that is currently blooming - it's dragons blood sedum.
A few varieties of lilies.
This is an oak leaf hydrangea. These flowers don't change color like a regular hydrangea, but they are pretty anyway. They hang on for most of the summer.
Here's what the whole bush looks like.
Last but not least is the pretty seed from our Japanese Maple.
Thanks for walking around my yard and checking out the latest blooms!

Mari, your yard is always so refreshing. I know you enjoy your walks. I hope to have a few blooms next Spring. I'm gonna plant some perineals in the Fall. I need to find out how to grow lavender. I loooooveeee the smell!
You certainly have lots of beautiful plants and flowers in your garden. How wonderful and good is that!!
Touring your yard is like visiting a professional garden. Everything is so pretty and I love all the different plants, especially the day lilies and lavender.
Beautiful, Mari...I could sit on the bench all day, friend. Have a lovely week.
There's so much pretty in your yard! Thanks for sharing all the beauty!
You must have a green thumb Mari..everything is beautiful.
So lush and beautiful. I can imagine how nice it would be to just wander in your gardens and explore all of the beautiful plants.
Oh, Mari, so many beautiful flowers! You guys must have green thumbs. I try here but with the grasshoppers back again this year, things haven't gone so well. It seems like an every other year syndrome.
Thanks for taking us for a beautiful walk. :)
xoxo
You have one of the prettiest yards I've ever seen! I think I would just sit outside in the middle of all that beauty and marvel at God's creations (and your green thumb!).
Absolutely beautiful surroundings Mari. Gorgeous colors, and I imagine wonderful scents.
Of course love the birdhouse on the wooded side.
Oooh, lavender is my favorite herb. It does smell *so* good! I grew some a couple years ago and dried some of the flowers. Their scent is relaxing--and good for trying to recover from headaches.
Enjoyed the photos of all your other flowers to. The sedum is beautiful, and so are the lilies.
Your gardens look like you live in a park! The bench behind the lilies is my favorite spot! I would like to sit on that bench and enjoy looking at the lilies.
The hydrangea bush is another favorite picture. I saw a lot of them in PA and I always admired them.
I want to know when you find the time to sit on that bench in your garden? Rarely, I bet!
All so pretty!! Too bad your crocosmia isn't doing well - ours is blooming like crazy right now. I love the yellow yarrow though, I've always loved big clumps of that!
So much beauty, Mari! I agree with all who said that your yard and gardens are like a professional arboretum!
That last picture is so poignant! I love your flowers. My yard is nothing like that. xoxo
Your flowers are beautiful...the one you don't know is a sedum....we grow that for a living. (0:
