Sisters shopping day!

Every year my 2 sisters and I go Christmas shopping together.  We try to go early in November, before there is snow.  We always go on a Friday and spend the day shopping.  We stay in a local hotel that night and finish up on Saturday morning.
We look forward to this every year, because not only because we get a lot done, but we have such fun!

We had supper at the Olive Garden last night. This picture is an example of how we spend our time. Cheri was wiping her eyes because she was laughing so hard.

Here is the back of Cheri's van.  When you have 3 woman, Christmas shopping for more than a day, you end up with a lot of bags!
The shopping is done, but for a few odds and ends - now to get it wrapped!

Sounds like a lot of fun! I can't believe your Christmas shopping is done. I've bought one thing and have no idea when I'll get anything else. I don't know what anyone wants, don't have any money...just can't seem to get on with it.

Glad you had such a profitable and fun time! (I LOVE Olive Garden!)

Okay, I could be your adopted sister. I love Olive Garden! I really want to go! I guess you can't show us the stuff you got because then all your family who reads your blog would know what you got them. Bummer!

I love, love, love your annual shopping trip and was about to ask when it was happening. Do you stay in the same Hotel or go to different ones?

I love the laughter and the fun you have! Brilliant.

What a fun, fun tradition!!!! Now you make me wish I didn't live so far away from my sister!!! The wrapping is just as much fun if you ask me.

What a terrific post. I bet the laughter was great too. As I love to laugh.

There's something about the sister relationship :-) My sister and I have a shorthand with one another; we can finish each other's sentences, a phrase that means nothing to anyone else will send us into hysterics, and we laugh harder with each other. LOVE it! :-) So glad you had a fun time with your sisters!

Mari,
What a fun tradition! I have four sisters, but we rarely get the opportunity to be together since we are spread across the country. When we do food, shopping, crafting and decorating are at the top of our To Do List.

Shopping before snow and ice? Where's the fun in that?

Looks like a very productive excursion.

Oh Mari, that is so awesome! I'm just a little jealous. :) I have no sisters and I haven't even started shopping! Lol!

But I DO have lots of friends who may as well be sisters, and some budding ideas for gifts. Does that count??

Glad you had a great time with your sisters

What! You are kidding me, where are the details? So you ate and laughed and shopped...I want details about the food, the laughter, and the hotel moments!!!

Glad you had a blast! Maybe Cheri has more dirt to share!

What a riot! We sure know how to have fun! What kind of details does Ginger want - if she would have joined us, she could have experienced some of the laughs!

Oh how well I can relate to the tears from laughing. Whenever we sisters would have our sleepovers, we would inevitably have a complete meltdown in the restaurant. One minute we'd be howling laughing, and the next minute complete silence while we struggled to catch our breath!! We need to do a weekend again, but we just can't figure out how to make it happen anymore.

What a way to make a job that can be tedious just plain fun!
