A night with Cassie

Cassie came to spend the night with us this past weekend.  Connor has been a little scared lately so he didn't come. She was all excited and had her things all packed and ready to go.  She had a little suitcase, a sleeping bag, her pillow and a backpack.  (She's a girl and doesn't pack lightly!) She asked Bob to help her carry things and he took it all but her little backpack.  When he put it in the car, she told him "Grandpa, you are big and strong!"

We were going out for supper and she chose Chik-fil-A.

Here we are in the restaurant.  Can you see that she likes her Grandpa?

Here she's talking his ears off as we walked to the car.

When we got home, we made a squishie, from a kit.

Here it is once it dried and maintained it's shape.

We played dinosaur dominoes

Then we made playdough. We made it pink for Valentines Day.

She's concentrating on stirring.  It took lotion, corn starch and food coloring so it was easy and smelled good!

It was fun to cut out shapes.

Bed time went ok, with lots of requests for snuggles.

She enjoyed waffles the next morning.
Then we headed to her house.  We watched her and Connor while Heather and Andrew went to an appt.

Here's Cassie and Connor at their house.  He was full of smiles.  Such a fun weekend!

I remember a time when Cassie wouldn’t stay overnight. You guys kept trying and trying. Cassie’s growing up. Aww good for her but kind of sad, too. They sure grow up fast. She has such a precious little face. Conner looks like he’s teething? I noticed a little droll. 🥰

My very favorites are Cassie & Bob. The first two, oh MY! You can really see how she just adores him. The photos are real treasures. Just the way she looks at him.

Cassie and Connor are both so cute...and I can tell that little Cassie has an exciting personality. You and Bob are such good grandparents and yes, I can sure tell she loves her grandpa. I admire you both for being grandparents who are involved with grandkids, playing games and doing all sorts of cute things. This is way Sam and I were when our babies were growing up. Believe me, they remember the love.

Can I come and play at your house?? You do the most wonderful things with your precious grands. Cassie is a doll. I love the picture of the back of her and Bob walking to the car and talking ninety miles an hour..Reminds me of our first granddaughter and Dave. Lauren was and still is the Talker (she's 30 now). Thanks for sharing.

I'm so blessed at how grown-up Cassie has become. She definitely enjoys her grandpa's company. I love it. One of our granddaughters is like that with Carroll, even though she's at the end of her teenage years.

These pictures...especially the last one of Connor and Cassie together makes it easy to tell who they favor in their looks. Cassie looks like her sweet mama, and I see so much of Andrew in Connor...especially through the forehead and eyes.

I said on Facebook that Cassie adores her grandpa!! She is SO cute! I remember not long ago when she wasn't ready to be away from mom and dad for an overnight with you. She has figured it out now!! What fun. I loved this post!!

Great pictures.
That first one is super precious, as is the second one of her and Bob walking hand in hand (my two favorites). You can tell how much she loves her grandpa.
I love Cassie's expressions. She has such an expressive face.
Sounds like you all had a very fun visit .

What a fun weekend for sure. You always have such fun activities too. We went to Chick-Fil-A once now as they opened one an hour away from us. We loved it and both the inside and drive thru were packed. Guess everyone loved it or were trying it for the first time. Connor is already getting big. How adorable they both are. Janice

She is such a Dolly! I love that she's a chatterbox. Lol My Annie was always shy...unless she was comfortable with you, then watch out! 😂 How wonderful that she's not afraid anymore and loves time with Grandma & Grandpa all on her own now. And Connor is getting so big!! Precious Angels.

Cassie just so cute! I love her smile. She's a doll.
I hope Connor can get over his anxieties. Bless his heart. Maybe he's only going through a clingy stage with Mom & Dad and he'll want to join the fun with y'all soon.
Blessings to you all. 💞

She's growing up! How fun that you get to enjoy such a wide range of activities with your grands, as the big girls move into their teenage years...and Cassie is just starting to get into all those fun crafts!!
