Friday night sleepover

It's been a little while since we were able to have the girls overnight.  Between sickness at their house and busyness at ours we've missed several weeks.  So, we were happy that they could come over this past Friday night.

The sun was shining Friday evening, so they were quite insistent on playing outside, although it was quite cold.

We didn't stay out long, just a little time on the swing and a walk around the yard.

Then inside to do some coloring...

some playing with our old Lincoln logs and the Matryoska dolls,

 and playing on Grandpa!

They found Bob's hat collection and had great fun trying them on.

On Saturday morning they helped with some baking before we did this fun project.

I found a kit to make ribbon wrapped bracelets.  Here's Alaina wrapping her bracelet in pink, her favorite color!

Ruby is gluing the ribbon down.

Then they got to add a skinny ribbon and some stickers.  They were proud of the finished product!
We stopped to see great grandpa and great grandma on the way home, and had McDonalds with them, or as Ruby says - "We went to Old McDonalds"!
Another fun time together!

They are just so cute and I know you and Bob enjoy every minute with them. The bracelets so adorable. I'll have to try and find that trying to find it for Ry, she loves things like that.
Happy Easter, Mari!

I'm glad you were able to have the girls over. I know they love it as much as you and Bob do when you can make it happen. Love their bracelets...they both did a really good job. You find the coolest things for them to make, Mari! I'm glad Ruby got to go to Old MacDonald's. :-) That is so cute!
