We get these mushrooms sometimes in our garden. I have left a corner of the garden to grow wild to attract insects and birds.

I don't know the difference between mushroom and toadstools but your photo is wonderful!
I've taken a few photos of this kind of mushroom. They are strange looking, but I love them.
Lovely.
I have seen lots of stumps like this when I was a kid. I don't seem to get out in the woods anymore to see them so thanks for sharing.
