The Marshmallow Test

I recently saw this cute video. After laughing at the kids in it, I thought about how similar we are when we are tempted by something. Often we see how close we can get to it, without actually crossing the line. See if you see yourself in this one!

i love marshmellows so it would have been hard for me!

in life i'm like the kid just nibbling on the edge.

I like the little sweetie who ate it while the lady was still giving instructions!
I'm afraid I see myself in several of those kids!

That was tough to resist!

Too cute, I wouldn't have eaten it I don't care for them.

Dear Mari,

Thank you for you comments at my last post.

If you have a bit of time, in invite you to re-read the last part of my Sept 30 post. I have re written it and shared more of what I am personally going through. I will surely appreciate your prayers at this time.

Mari,

Ah, temptation is great but the rewards of waiting are greater. LOL Very cute and I think it is human nature to get as close as we can without crossing the line.

Thank you so much, my friend, for your prayers, support and caring over the last few days. You will never know how much it means to me.

Blessings,
Mary

Funny!
But to be really tempting, I agree with remistuff -- I'd need some chocolate & a graham cracker!

Mari,

This is too cute. My favorite were the twins and then the last boy at the end. How hard this was for some and how easy it was for others.

Wow! how hard that would be for a kid. So true to our human nature.

This was so cute to watch! Like Heart2Heart said, I also loved the last boy and the twins! Even though they were truly tempted, they resisted...what a great lesson!!!

I had to crack up at the little girl who was pretty much eating it while she was getting the directions. Then the ones that were picking off teeny pieces to get around the rules...what an object lesson that is! I'm still amazed none of them licked it.

But me, not a huge marshmallow fan, so I'd have just taken a nap.

Marshmallows, no thanks. But I too can be tempted if I don't stay grounded in God.

Blessings to you sweet one,

Loved it! I don't think I would have made it. Well maybe. Marshmallows are really good, but not as good as say, Kam's carmel corn. I wouldn't have survived then!!!

Very cute! Thanks for sharing, Mari. :)

Cute! Great parallel to our own temptations in life. Just a nibble usually doesn't work...
