My friend Jennifer, from Zaankali's Adventures challenged her readers to join her and others who are trying to have a complaint free week. I thought it was interesting that I read this immediately after coming home from Bible study, where our lesson was on contentment.
So - this week, instead of complaining about politicians, things at work, church, your crazy relatives; I'm inviting you to join this challenge. Instead of focusing on the negative - let's look at all we have to be thankful for and praise God instead!
For more information and to sign up for this challenge, visit Sheila, who is the mastermind of this idea! It'll be interesting to see how this week goes!

I already started doing this when I saw it on Jen's blog.
What a great challenge to change our perspectives!
A whole week! Can I complain that it wasn't just complain-free day? No, I didn't think so.
I think this is fantastic and challenging and convicting, and very difficult for me. I am going to keep this in mind all week and work on it...tell my kids about it too. I'll tell them it was Mari's idea, then I'm not the bad guy! :)
Love that your Bible study was on contentment and it just matched up like that.
Mari,
Ok, I accept this challenge starting now. I am happy tomorrow I get to visit my dentist for some work...I am grateful I have a good dentist and can afford to have the work done..truly I am!

Good idea! I already blew it for today with complaining about my dog's stinking...since I just read this at 10PM, can I start Tues. morning???
that is a very true cartoon, especially after our talk on the phone. by the way fix your profile. i can be gratefull i'm not in korea anymore which is where you apparently still think i am. lol
lol it's funny you'd mention this, because just today I posted about the things I was thankful for today!
What a great idea! Yesterday morning on the way to school I thanked the Lord that I have a car. It was a cold, rainy, miserable morning as I passed a bunch of Amish children walking and riding their scooters to their school. Bless their hearts.
I may have fell off the horse already, but I'll get back on!
Great idea! I accept the challenge.
LOL...okay, tho after I complained about the utilities coming our and digging up our yard for the neighbor who wanted another phone line added...and the easement being in OUR yard ---I won't complain any more this week, promise!!!
This morning Alan went out to start the van and go to work. The starter wouldn't turn. It just clicked away. He took the other car. After getting to work he emailed me and said, "God was with us. At least it didn't happen at the doctor's office this morning." This is the way Alan thinks most of the time. He really helps me.
that's a tough one! but definitely a challenge worth trying.
Hi Mari,
Great post! Good advice! Love your blog!
Come see me sometime!
Bless you, my sister!

This will probably going to be tough, but I'll give it a shot. A world without complaining would be a happier place:)
I love this idea! I'll give it my very best shot......
i had a trip surrounded by whiners when traveling on a plane. umm, hope this doesn't sound like i'm complaining about them...but seriously...there is just some times in life you cannot do anything about your circumstances! great idea!
