When the girls were over, we made some easy tie dye style shirts. I saw some fabric paint in spray bottles in Hobby Lobby. It was in a package of 6 with colors I knew the girls would love. Hobby Lobby also sells plain t-shirts for a very reasonable price.
So I got the paint and t-shirts and on Saturday we got ready to decorate some shirts.
They each chose different ways to paint their shirts.
Ruby just wanted random colors sprayed on her shirt, so we put parchment paper inside and laid it out to wrk on.
Alaina wanted hers twisted up in the more traditional tie dye method. So we rolled it up and put brown paper on the table to protect it. She sprayed it with one color, then opened it a little and sprayed another color, them repeated it with one more color.
We made one for Cassie too and it was a mix of both styles. First we twisted it and Alaina did her spraying, then we opened it and Ruby added spots of color.
This was such a fun and easy project!

Once again, you have knocked it out of the ball park! What fun, I have to go to Hobby Lobby now!
A terrific craft for such artistic gals!!!
I used to love to tie dye shirts. How fun. What a fun activity. Happy Tuesday my friend.
Just passing with a little tip...
Caring for Your Tie Dye..
Here is helpful tip for keeping your tie dye bright
wash after wash..
Try soaking your tie dye in equal parts white vinegar
and cold water for 30 minutes after you initially rinse
out the dye from your garment...
The vinegar helps with colorfastness...
Perhaps a little tie dye hat for Cassie would suit..! :O).
Great craft!! I saw Cassie wearing her shirt on Facebook....the girls did a great job with it.
They came out great and that last photo is so adorable! I think Cassie likes her shirt. :)
That looks like so much fun! You have such great craft ideas. Thanks!
Oh didn't they turn out cute and love that they made one for the baby too.
What a great craft for the girls! I'll have to keep that spray fabric paint in mind next time I go to Hobby Lobby!
OH, what a fun craft project. Baby Cassie looks so cute with the daring t-shirt made by the girls. Such artists in the family:)
Mari, those girls are growing up making so many wonderful memories with you. What children need most is someone to spend time with them and I love that you do that. I'm so tired of seeing children being baby-sit by the TV or video games.
What a cool thing to do! Love it. I'm gonna totally "steal" this idea. Thanks.
Those kids are so cute. It's so nice to see them smiling and happy.
Blessings to you all. xx
Please, adopt me!! Lol You guys have way too much fun. I l💗ve it!! And that final pic with Cassie - totally frame worthy. So dang cute!!
A very fun project and I love that they made one for Cassie too! The girls look SO grown up in their pretty dresses. xo

These turned out so cute!!
Tie Dye in spray bottles?? My girls are always talking about making their own clothes and I'm like no way, you'll make a mess, but this looks great. I need to investigate!!
Those came out great!!!
That method is so much easier and sooo less messy. Love how they came out. And Cassie is just adorable in hers too!! Good job, girls!
Mari, you find the greatest ideas for the girls! How fun to do the shirts; and they look right proud of their work. That's a beautiful thing! :)
xoxo
You always have such fun activities with your girls!
It’s a good idea! And the t shirts looks great.
You sound like such a fun grandma.
The picture of the girls with Cassie is precious.
Oh my goodness that is brilliant! I am going to have to do one with Dagny. They all look so precious but I LOVE Alaina's dress although it makes me wistful to see how grown-up she looks. I hope you don't mind that I copied that last picture to my desktop and titled it AlainaCassieRuby821 so that I can look at it whenever I want. Precious girls. xoxo
Actually I went back and renamed it AlainaCassieRuby721, haaahaha xoxo
