Todays recipe is one from my childhood. I remember my mom making these when I was in elementary school, and now I'm 60, so this is an old recipe! My daughter Laura mentioned making them and said the girls love them. I hadn't made them for some time and decided it was time to make a batch! Besides, chocolate and cream cheese is always a winner!
These are so tasty, the recipe makes a bunch and they freeze really well. They even taste good right from the freezer.

2 - 8 ounce packages cream cheese

2/3 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
Beat, then stir in 12 ounces chocolate chips. Set aside.

Yum!!! Haven't tasted these in a long time. My sister Doris used to make them quite often. so delicious!
I have tasted something similar before and loved them! I have not thought of these in years.
These look so delicious! They remind me of the black and white cookies.
Bud would love these. I stopped consuming chocolate years ago.
I bet these are heavenly!
The old recipe's are the best, I think. I still have many from when my step-mom was alive. She was an excellent cook too. Thanks for sharing the love! Have a blessed day my friend. xx
I may have to try this out as it sounds very interesting.
Yummmmmm.... If one can eat chocolate. -smile-
Never heard of this combo. Cool, to learn something new. Might even be able to adapt it, in some way, to something I can eat. -smile-

Those look and sound really yummy! Nice to take to a church potluck (if we ever get to do those again someday)! Thanks, Mari!
Mercy! These should be called Special Occasion Cupcakes. Decadent! Recipe copied. xo
Those cupcakes are a favorite here too. In fact my sister's son messaged me last summer asking me for the recipe because he was hungry for them! Often made them for family events.
I need to send you some pictures of the ones the girls made - and how the oven looked after... ;)
Oh my... heaven in a cupcake tin!
