And the leaves came down!

We have a lot of trees in our yard.  In the front yard are large, old oak trees with lots of leaves.  We've lived here for 30 years and although some of those leaves come down as Fall progresses, most hang on and drop with the snow.

This year was like no other.  I guess it's 2020, right?   Sunday we were sitting in the living room and Bob said - "it's raining leaves".  And it was.  Leaves were falling like crazy.

By the time I came home on Monday, almost every leaf was off the trees.

And it looked like this!

Poor Bob - they were almost knee deep in some spots.

Thank goodness he has a good leaf blower.  And next spring, the ground won't be covered in wet leaves!

Wow, that's a lot of leaves! Can you burn leaves in your area? We can't burn leaves out here in Utah, but when we lived in Illinois we could and it was always an enjoyable part of fall to rake of the leaves, then let the kids have fun jumping in them, then burning the leaves. Glad you got the leaves raked.

The leaves pretty much all came down at once this year here too. Last week with the combination of rain and slimy leaves it was a bit difficult to walk without slipping. Today it didn't seem quite so bad. Maybe the leaves have blown out of the way. Keep safe.

Goodness, it's almost like they suffered some kind of sudden trauma! And they are huge, Bob is practically dwarfed by them.

I loved playing in the leaves when I was a kid. How wonderful to own property with all those trees. I live in the city and all the houses are close together.

That is a big job for sure but worth it in the long run. Have a blessed day.

Yikes - that's quite a pile. I bet your sweet girlies would love to dive in. Lol 😉 Poor Bob. That's a lot of work.

Oh dear! Most of ours are still on the trees! And TG has raked huge amounts twice already. The men and kids always work up their appetite for turkey dinner by raking on Thanksgiving Day, and they'll have their work cut out for them this year. Then on the first truly windy day (or night) in December, all of the stragglers will rain down. More work. That I don't do. Haaahaha xo

Exactly like it was here...rained leaves! We have a good blower too, a necessity with all our trees.

I wish I had a big leaf blower like that! Mine lasts about 30 minutes and dies. All our leaves are off the trees now apart from the beech, which like to hang on for dear life and drop when I've cleared all the others up.
