Cooking Thursday

We had our small group from church at our house Sunday night, and I made a recipe another friend had recently shared with me.  It's a dip you can serve with crackers; it's quick and easy and everyone liked it!

Five Million Dollar Dip

5 green onions,chopped
8 oz cheddar cheese,shredded\
1½ cups mayonnaise
½ cup real bacon bits
½ cup sliced almonds

Mix all ingredients until combined and chill for at least 2 hours.
Sprinkle a few almonds over dip just before serving and serve with your favorite crackers.

I love recipes like this that are made from things most have on hand that you can pull together with even a little advanced notice. Make a little tray with crackers and some fruit. This would be great for when my friends come over for scrabble or cards. Thanks, Mari!

This looks so good. I get tired of all the same old food. It'd be fun to try something new! Thanks!

I made the dip tonight, though I didn’t have green onions, so I replaced them with minced shallots. It was very nice. It would go well with raw veggies as well as crackers.
