We had the girls overnight Friday night. We didn't have anything special planned, but they are happy to just be over and play.
They love sitting with Grandpa. Here they were watching a video about elephants.
They loved stacking these cups and knocking them down.
I got them new toothbrushes that light up. It made brushing their teeth so fun!
Saturday morning, Bob had to go to work, but the girls and I had fun painting and decorating rocks. Ruby insisted she could do it by herself! Good thing the paint washed off skin and the table. :)
Alaina is very careful and wants to get it just right.
Here are the finished creations.
They were pretty happy with what they made.
After this we went to McDonalds for lunch, we made a few other stops and then I took them home. They had fun and so did we!
We had one other visitor staying with us this weekend.
Heather and Andrew went away to celebrate their anniversary, so Oliver hung out with us. He sleeps in this crazy position - all curled up with his head twisted to face up. He enjoys Bob and I, but is not a fan of Alaina and Ruby, which is very sad for them. They just want to pet him! When they are sleeping, he comes out to play.

Those are some happy kids! :)
And the rocks looked beautiful! Our cat, Tareco, sleeps like that too.
Have a great week!
:)
You always seem to find something fun for the girls to do, and I know they love visiting. The rocks are cute as can be, and Miss Ruby just wants to do her own thing! lol Oliver wants to do his own thing too...lol
I'm glad you had the girls over the weekend. After all that has been going on at work with so many patients and staff being ill having the girls must have been a very pleasant distraction. :) Loved their painted rocks! I also loved watching their expressions...Ruby's when they were watching about the elephants is just SO cute!
I identify with Alana...I am particular as well. I guess that is the first born in us. love seeing these girlies...they are precious.
Sweet! Grands are love.
Another fun weekend with your lovely girls. I really enjoyed seeing their painted rocks, they did a nice job.
I love seeing that you enjoy your grands!
What a fun sleepover!
And it is great to see Oliver again!
Cats are so funny! Those girls are so adorable!! What a blessing that you get so much quality time with them, especially during these young growing-up years. Blessed...all of you!
Sweet pics of the girls. Looks like they had such a fun time. I recently found a painted rock at a restaurant we frequent, with a website listed on the back of the rock - turns out it was "hidden" by children of a home-schooling Christian mom. I was able to leave them a comment on their website that I found and "re-hid" the rock!
Awe, they sure look like they enjoy being at your house.
Those two girlies are just happy to be with their grandparents, but you always do a great job to make their visit special. Painting rocks is so fun. We have a few from artists who were selling them on the street downtown. We have a turtle and a rabbit.
I got up early this morning and am reading the posts I have missed. I am happy that you do not live near the river.
Also, how did you escape getting the illness at your place of work? What is your secret?
I saw my surgeon yesterday. He had a terrible cold. I came home and squirted salene up my nose, washed my hands, and gargled. Everyone has the flu around here. When Alan comes home he washes his hands and washed the doorknobs. We pray. May you stay well.
I just love reading about your visits from the granddaughters and seeing the pictures. The picture of them together is so CUTE!!
You Folks and your precious Girls always have the best time! Love these posts. xoxo
Ooooh the painted rocks are awesome! I need to do that with Dagny. Audrey is concerned that Dag isn't getting enough "creative" time because Audrey is not a creative (or so she says). So this will be a cool thing for us to do together. Also I am going to get some solo cups because I know Dag will love building towers with those. Thanks, Mari! xoxo
