The recipe I'm sharing today comes from my sister Terri. She made a blueberry coffeecake for the shower we had a few weeks ago and it was so yummy! I'm sure you'll like it too.
Blueberry Coffee Cake
4 tablespoons butter
4 ounces cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add 1 cup sugar, egg, flour, baking powder and salt, stir together and then add vanilla.
Fold in blueberries (if using frozen, do not thaw).
Pour into a greased 9x9 pan.
Mix together 2 tablespoons sugar with the cinnamon and pour over dough.
Bake for 1 hour.

This looks yummy but believe it or not, I do not like Blueberries. And they are so good for you!!

HI Mari! Be sure to thank your sister for me! My husband loves blueberries, and it's great that this recipe calls for fresh or frozen. Now a days, there aren't any fresh ones around!
