The amount of snow we've gotten is breaking records. Our little town is currently #3 on the list of top amounts of snowfall in all of West Michigan. This past Monday we had another bad storm and got 9 more inches of snow. Thursday we had a day that started with snow, changed to sleet, had rain with thunder by noon and temps in the 40's, then back to freezing rain and snow but some high winds mixed in this time.
This is the view out of our front window on Friday. Ice was coating everything including the window.
A few miles from our house there was a 15 car crash, due to icy roads and poor visibility.
Here's what it looked like in front of our house. You can also see how high the banks are getting on all the roads. It can be really hard to pull out because you can't see over the banks to see what's coming.
I heard today that the long range forecast predicts more of the same until the middle of March. (Sigh...) It will make Spring all the sweeter, right?

Winter is not by any means over in our neck of the woods either, and I'm determined to stop thinking about Spring. I made it this long, I can survive another two months of winter. (This is what I'm preaching to myself whenever I go outside now,)
Do the kids go to school in that! I used to live in Michigan for a year when I was 11. Pontiac.
Here in central Virginia, it can snow an inch and the schools will close. Only exception is if the snow does not stick to the streets.

Those are quite the scenes! And I know about the banks blocking views, etc. There's just been nowhere to go with it! And it gets dirty - especially in our yard since we live near the road, etc. It just gets old, doesn't it? ty for a few days.
We're very, very close to breaking the record for snow fall in one winter here.

That is a lot of snow for sure. I think about you driving to and from work and hope it is safe for you. I never tire of what my blog friends are doing, so 'snow' on!
I never tire of reading about my bloggy friends. I will no longer complain about our measely 4-5 inches we got overnight (and still coming down)..y'all in the upper pennisula Michigan take the cake, LOL. BLESSINGS

Oh boy that's a lot of snow! Are you still managing to get out and about and to work? Snow like that in the UK would mean everyone is trapped at home unable to leave their houses.
Mari, I am so sorry! I imagine that your heating bills are high too! I think you are handling it all quite well. Stay warm!
I have to say, I worry about you having to drive to work all the time in that. Be careful!
Reminds me of the greater Chicagoland area in the late '70s and early '80s. One winter we had a major snowstorm on April first. Unfortunately March can be very fickle so I hope you've got what it takes to tie a knot and hold on, Mari! xoxo
