Beautiful Word

I was recently contacted and asked about doing a review of a Bible for girls.  This is the Beautiful Word Coloring Bible and is directed at girls age 8-12.  It's specially done with coloring and journaling pages, and also stickers to put on some pages.  Since I happen to know a girl who is 9, and who loves that kind of thing, I said yes!

When the package arrived, I was found that they had not only sent one for Alaina, but one for Ruby too.

Here's the gift box they came in.

It has a leather type, hard cover.  Here you see what it looks like, along with the coloring pencils and the stickers.  Here's a little info about it:

· Complete text of the accurate, readable and clear New International Version (NIV)

· Over 600 verses illustrated in ready-to-color line art

· Four colored pencils

· Six sheets of stickers designed for girls

· Thick white paper for writing and doodling

· Lined, wide margins for notes and reflections

· Satin ribbon marker

· Beautifully debossed and screen-printed cover

· Exclusive Zondervan NIV Comfort Print® typeface in a readable 8-point print siz

There are pages all through it with these spots to color.  Some are full pages, some just half a page, but I think this is such a great idea.  Coloring in a verse like this makes it much easier to remember.

The girls were very happy to see these!

They both got right to doing a little coloring.

Here's a little bit that Ruby was working on.  Hers may be put away for a little bit as she is nearing 6, but a little young for it.  She had to check it out though!

This is really a quality set and I reccomend it.  If you have a girl aged 8-12 and are looking for a special gift, you can check it out and purchase it here.

Many thanks to Telling Ministries LLC and HCCP for providing this product/product information for review.  Opinions are 100% my own and NOT influenced by monetary compensation.  I did receive a sample of the product in exchange for this review and post.

A Day in my Life

November blew in with gusto!  I woke up several times during the night hearing the wind howl.

It was a dark and cloudy morning, the back yard was covered in leaves that had come down because of all the wind.

When we left for church in the morning, we noted leaves blown up against the garage door too.

We have Sunday School before church.  Here's my classrrom with people starting to come in. This class starts at 9am and goes to 10.

The church service starts at 10:15.  We are going through a series on Revival.  It's good to see and gather with our church family and hear a message from the word.

This was the view shortly after 12 as we were driving home.  Snow!  And it was still very windy.

Lunch was hot and ready when we got home.  Chicken Rice soup in the crock pot.

After eating lunch, we did some reading.  The view out our front window was more snow.

Soon Bob had settled in for a little nap.   Sunday afternoons allow that little luxery!  I took a nap too and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Supper was as easy one - Pizza burgers!

Then we had a quiet and relaxing evening, following a pretty relaxing day!
It was a very good start to November.
