Many of you know that my 2 sisters (Terri and Cheri) and I have a tradition of going Christmas shopping together. Every year in the early part of November we schedule a Friday and shop all day. This past Friday was that day.We started off about 8 in the morning, and shopped all day with just a short break for lunch and a chance to review our lists. We had a wonderful supper at The Olive Garden, and then made a few more stops. This was what the hotel room looked like when we hauled everything into our room.
We made a few more stops on Saturday morning, before we returned home to our families. We had a lot of fun and there were several fits of laughter, but we all accomplished a lot. All three of us had sore feet by the time we got settled into the hotel room. I do have a few more things to finish up, but the end is in sight!

Tuesday is Veterans Day in the USA. Be sure you thank any veterans you know for what they gave for our country!

I had an uncle pass away on Friday, so my sister Cheri and I decided to ride together out to the funeral home together to go to the visitation. I had just bought these shoes, so when we got out of the car I showed them to her and asked how she liked my new shoes. She responded by putting her foot out, showing me that she was wearing the exact same pair! This is not unusual for us. There have been several occasions when we have gone somewhere together and have been dressed almost the same. Last year we had to go to a bridal shower. Terri, Cheri and I all showed up wearing khaki pants and black sweaters. We were called the triplets that night and have been teased about it ever since.

What a fun day I had today! My sisters and I met Ginger from Just a Thought for lunch. Before I tell you about our time together, I have to give you a little history. Ginger and I went to school together, from kindergarten to graduation. We saw each other occasionally in the almost 30 (!) years since we graduated but not often. Last spring, after I started blogging I noticed comments on Short Stops blog that made me want to visit the commenter's blog. I don't know many Gingers, but I was still surprised when I went to this blog and saw that the Ginger who was commenting was the same Ginger I went to school with. (She hasn't changed much!) I have so enjoyed reading her blog, getting to know her family through it and reading all of her insightful thoughts. She also started reading my sister Terri and Cheri's blogs. We decided it was really time that we met and had lunch together. Ginger is a brave woman and decided she could handle us all at the same time. She may be rethinking that at this time. We really did have a good time. Good food, good fellowship, good laughs!
There was a problem getting a picture, because people were laughing and goofing off!
This one turned out a little better..What a blessing to meet up with someone from your past and have them become part of your present! We'll have to do it again sometime and who knows what other bloggers we can find to take along!
