A Day in my Life - November

November is here and Autumn is soon departing.  We have had the most beautiful Autumn I can remember.  It's been a month with lots of sunshine and warm temps, which has allowed us to be out enjoying the Fall color.  The leaves are falling fast, so that color will soon be done, but we're enjoying what's still here.

Here's how the first day of November went for me.

The time change meant it was getting light when we got up. This is a tree across the street from us at about 8:40 am when we were leaving for church. I love this tree in all seasons, but it's especially gorgeous in the Fall.

We have Sunday School before our church service.  There are 3 different adult classes and this is the one I attend.  Bob is one of the teachers and it's a class on Genesis - very interesting.

Sunday School is done about 10, then we had our church service at 10:15. Our service finishes around 11:45.  After talking a bit, we left church shortly after 12.

On this day, we were invited to friends for lunch, so we headed right over there. This beautiful scene is in their side yard.

Here we are ready for lunch.  We had a good lunch and a good time, then headed for home around 3.

Bob drove us home the long way, taking some back roads to take in some beauty. This is one of my favorite barns in our area.  It's owned by a young family with 2 small kids, one still under 1 year.  They end up out on the tractor or the barn with their parents.

When we got home we noticed how many leaves were on the yard again, although Bob had raked the day before.  He's done it 4 times already and had big piles of leaves - and look at our trees!  Lots still to come.

Because it was so nice out, I decided to go for a walk.  This is our street.

The woods I love to walk in are being blanketed in leaves.

I did a little reading when I got home.  Before supper, Bob and I went for a walk around our yard. This is something we do every night when it's nice, but with the time change, we thought we better do it before supper or we would be out there in the dark.

This is looking at the back corner of the yard, things are fading fast.

But look at this!  This is unheard of on Nov 1.  The roses are flowering, the cosmos are still blooming and we picked a tomato.

Bob has made a new path in the woods in the back of the yard. I thought it looked pretty with the leaves falling on it.

By the time we got back inside, it was nearly dark. We had sloppy joes for supper and then watched some of our British Crime shows which is pretty routine for us on a Sunday night.

Happy November to you all!
