Happy December! It's already the last month of 2025. Here's how the first day of the month went for me.
After walking, I got ready, ate breakfast and was out the door at 9. My sister Cheri picked me up to do some shopping. We are getting ready for our family Christmas party and we had to go out and get things for games and prizes.
We went to several places to get what we needed and were back to my house shortly after 12.
In the meantime, it started snowing again, but just gentle little snowflakes. They had predicted up to 6 inches, but thankfully, this one missed us.
Before I knew it, it was supper time. We had oven roasted sausage and veggies which is quick to make and always tasty.
After a little computer time, checking on all of you I decided it was time to work on Christmas cards. I was up till almost midnight, but I got them done and ready to be mailed.
It was a good day - got lots of things crossed off my to do list and had fun doing it!

Dear Mari, I love ❤️ your snow ❄️ pic. I love your plaid table runner, candle and tree. Your roasted sausage and vegetable dinner looks scrumptious 😋
You really do live in a winter wonderland.
Hi Mari! I always love seeing views of the inside of your home. It looks so comfy and inviting. You had a busy and good day December 1! We got your Christmas card and it is hanging on the back of our front door, which is where we have displayed our Christmas cards for many years in many homes. Your family Christmas party sounds like lots of fun! Have a great week!
Mari, what a cozy and productive day!
Love how you balanced getting things done with little moments of joy.
Your Christmas prep looks fun, and that sausage and veggie dinner made me hungry! 😋
You have a lot of energy to accomplish so much. You will be ready for Christmas.
I love everything about your dining room! I want the skinny tree! where did you get it? It seems you posted about it a long while ago. You have so much energy! Your dinner looks good!
We had a lil bit of snow yesterday here too but not much. I love your tree...cannot have enough trees in my book. LOL Your porch is set up cute. I never have decorated my porch. Maybe someday I should. I still also need to do my own Christmas cards. Better get moving on it. Janice
your beautiful home is perfect. You have true decorating skills and it would fit my desires. that to all skinny tree is exactly right for the kitchen and even your treadmill is in the perfect place... even your outside area is perfect, like the shed he built... I enjoyed visiting your home today
about the veggies/sausage, is that carrots, red bell peppers, potatoes and how long do I cook it
I really need to do my Christmas cards!! Thank you for the reminder. Your home is so pretty.
Oh my! Such a wonderful and busy and productive day! I wish I had your energy! I just need to get more organized. I loved all the pictures and scenery outside and inside! You live in a beautiful part of the country! It's nice to see the winter landscape from my warm Florida home! I wouldn't mind being there for the holidays, but would be so happy to be back here for the rest of the long winter days and nights. Thank you for sharing a day in your life with us. I enjoyed going along with you and wish I could get as much done as you did! Wow. Merry Christmas!
I love it that you had fun getting all of those things checked off your list!
Well done you with the 40 minutes on a treadmill! I think I'd faint from exhaustion. My exercise is walking the property many times a day. I used to do a lot of heavy yard work and such until recently and that kept me in tip top shape. Can't do that anymore. I have to content myself with walking. That's OK. At least I can do that.
The oven baked sausage looks so good! Yum! I can smell that lovely aroma from here. ❤️
I enjoyed your first day of December. You get so much done. Mari, I was scrolling back looking for your chili recipe and realized just how many posts I have missed. Honestly! How time flies! First, Little Cassie is adorable! I enjoyed seeing her and her teacher. She is such a sweetie-pie. Also, I am glad Alaina is doing well after her trip to the ER. I'm sure it was a worry for you all. Elaina and Ruby are such sweet girls. My son-in-law was diagnosed with Wolff Parkinson White several years and is now doing fine.
I love your dining room. absolutely gorgeous. You are so dedicated to getting your exercise done..way to go Mari. I need to work on this for myself. The snow sure makes for some beautiful scenes. Love how the snow sits on top of the branches. You are ahead of me...I've gotten most of my cards done, but I have a few more to go.
You are so industrious, it puts me to shame. But I have been amazed at all I have accomplished thus far in the holiday season, so it's all good. I'm doing my cards today, hahaha because I meant to do them last Friday but one of my grandkids wanted to spend Thursday night and Friday with me and I cannot get stuff like Christmas cards done without utter silence and solitude, hahaha! xoxo 🏴☠️
It looks like a very productive day to begin this busy month. Your home looks lovely inside and the snow outside is so pretty too. I like the looks of your dinner.
What a lovely and very productive day dear Mari! Loved seeing your decorations and what you get up to in a day. The days are ticking by so quickly - the big day will be here before we know it! Stay cozy and Christmas blessings to you. 🎄❤️
You had a productive day and it seems like you are ahead of the game! I am getting there! You send a lot of cards. I haven't sent Christmas cards in years!
Like you, I exercise in the morning or it doesn't seem to get accomplished!
My Goodness !! You are one busy bee. Everything looks wonderful and its fun when you have someone to wrap gifts with. That party is going to be a lot of fun for you.
Have a wonderful week.
Sue
You did have a good day . . . and the oven roasted sausage and vegetables looks delicious.
All the best Jan
Your home is gorgeous in and out. And what a clean fridge you have. That's a lot of Christmas cards. I have had to stop sending out cards. Nice to have a sister to shop and wrap with. And a little snow!
Mari, your home looks so pretty, dressed for Christmas. I love all the lights and tree and the wrapping. It's all so festive!
I love grey winter days, so I loved your photo. It's so cozy inside when it's like this. I liked getting a look inside your day. It was a good one!
You have a lot of energy! You did a lot. Your home is very nicely decorated. I also lit a pine candle in the evening.
Not sick of the view. I love that room you have your treadmill in.
Just copied your recipe. It looks really good.
A busy but fun day.
Looks like you send out LOTS of Christmas cards. I do fewer and fewer each year.
Fridge cleaning is on my list this week too. And the dry pantry too. Love that long table next to the doors/windows. Oh my gosh, I could set up shop there to write, read and take classes. What a great space you have to walk too. I miss my treadmill. Gave it away due to space restrictions but I still miss that thing!
