Every year we try to get out in the Fall and get a photo of us with our grandkids for our Christmas card. Saturday was the day we planned to do this. It was cold! We had our first hard freeze and as we drove to the park around 10am it was only 38 degrees! So, we were pretty chilly while taking these pictures.
The park we went to is near my childhood home, and we used to have family reunions there every year. I love going back and reliving those memories.
The park has stone stair, streams and springs. There were quite a few other people there, braving the cold to get some photos.
This is how things went. Our card this year, will feature one screaming child. Andrew suggests that the card message should be 'Joy to the World!'
It's ok, we made memories, right?

I think the card will be adorable and yes, a wonderful memory. You will smile every time you look back and remember. My kids never wanted a family picture like that!
I think the card will be gorgeous. Such a lovely post, Mari.
I love it! It is so cute, and so NORMAL. Not so totally perfect that you can't really believe it! It adds humor, interest, and honesty.
Wonderful scenery, you really feel the seasons there!!
Wonderful photos, it's okay with a little whining from the little one, and she's happy!!
Be well, Mari!!
Those are beautiful pictures!!!!
Oh no...but the memory of this card when Connor gets older will be one to remember for sure. What a beautiful family you have. We had our first frost too on Saturday. Janice
I love the photos! They tell such a story. And I think your christmas card will be lovely.
I think the crying baby adds to the charm. all are really good
Beautiful photos even if Connor was crying 😂 you have a nice family.
The trees are sumptuous!
There is no force with more power than a child needing mama. Frustrating, because it isn't what you wanted, but shh, I have a pretty big smile on my face right now...he's so cute, and looks so mad. The girls take it in stride, I love the pictures.
You know what...it's those moments that really capture life and I think that you have some perfect photos for your Christmas Card. All of these are so good and you have a beautiful family...the scenery is so pretty as well.... You all will look back on these one day and laugh about the day..
Hi, Mari!
Even though Connor wasn't on board for the pictures, it will still look cute and I like Andrew's suggestion that the card message should be 'Joy to the World'!
And that park looks amazing!
Have a blessed week!
That's so funny but so adorable too. It will make a perfect Christmas card. Your girls are growing up fast. Goodness how time flies!
All the pictures are beautiful.
Your card will be wonderful! Dear sweet Connor! And I love his dad's sense of humor! :) You are looking great!
Haha! So perfect for this season of life. Your card could say make a joyful noise for the Lord is born! Lol I still love how they all turned out and that park is so beautiful. Memories are the best! 💗
I think the card will be adorable and the title of "Joy to the World" will be perfect for it.
Its a definite memory maker ! (:0)

Such stunning photos. Thank you for sharing. The cards would be beautiful.
This will make for a wonderful card and the best memory as Connor grows up!
It looks like a beautiful park, and I like all the family pictures--including the ones with an unhappy Connor. Whichever one you choose will be great, because it will represent such a candid moment.
Haahaha OH CONNOR!!!! Just being the little fellow he is ... but so sweet and precious even crying his lungs out. Remind me to show you a picture of our Guy standing in the parking lot at church a few weeks ago. Literally screaming to they sky as though the entire world had come to an end! And unlike Connor, he had no reason to do it! It was a mystery. I like the beautiful Christmas card photos just the way they are! xoxo
Lovely pictures, Mari! Connor gives your family pictures "character". Can't wait to get your card in a few weeks! I need to get going on mine! See you again soon!
Bless his heart!! Next year will be better!! I love your beautiful family and that place is the best backdrop!! xo
