A few shots from last week

Here's a few photos from things that were happening in my world last week!

This is a leaf bug.  I saw it sitting by our garage last week.  It was pretty cool to see in person. From the side, it really did look like a leaf!

The corn is being harvested around here!

Andrew has been coming over and working with Bob in the shop.  They're building a crib for the baby. While they were out there, Heather was hanging out with me inside and I got to feel the baby kick!

This is the view from our living room.  It's been such a gorgeous Fall.  I love this view, no matter the season.

Saturday night I had a surprise retirement party.  This wine bottle was sitting on our table.  :)

This is Stacie, the one that's retiring. She's one of the best Nurse Aides I've ever worked with.  I'll miss her working with me, but she'll be back next week as a volunteer.

That's it for last week, now on to the week ahead!

I love that tree, it looks like several trees that grew together. Are you retiring, Mari?

Well I thought for a minute that you were retiring Mari. :) So glad Heather and the baby are doing well and what a special crib.

The view from your window is stunningly gorgeous!! I would live at the window, and never look away! I have never seen a leaf bug, it is so cool! Pretty, too. I wonder if it will turn colors along with the fall leaves...

The good workers always leave early...just when you need 'em most with a shortage in nurses. Building a crib? How fun! And a grandbaby's first kick...how thrilling!!!

I'm not retiring - it's Stacie who is pictured with the cake. :)

The view of the tree and swing is delightful! We don't have any leaf bugs here and how special that Dad and Grandpa are building the crib.

When I read that you had a retirement party I thought you were retiring!! The next picture told the real story. What a fun thing... quitter! It is nice that she is coming back as a volunteer. I sure enjoyed the photos you shared and love that you got to feel the baby kick! Can't wait to see the crib when it is done!!

Sure is pretty where y'all live.
Congrats on your friends retirement! Hope she loves it as much as I do. I'm busier now than I was when I was working. *lol*

How very cool that they are building the baby's crib! What an heirloom that will be!

That is a beautiful picture of that tree. You are so lucky to have that. We have a pepper tree I like but it does not change colors. How exciting about the new baby!

I think I've seen a leaf bug before, neat capture. We still have some corn up around here, a lot of farmers leave it to cut in the spring, not sure why. So exciting for a new grand baby and I too thought you were retiring :)

My husband made cradles for each of our children's first born. One was crushed in a move and can't be repaired and one burned in a camp where it was being stored while our son's new home was being painted. I thought you were the retiree at first! I love the tree photo... awesome!
