Wow! I've never seen sap collecting in what seems to be a city street. Do you also collect sap at your home? This is delicious stuff and very expensive in these stores here. It's a wonderful treat for the tourists in Canada.
when I was in school years ago one of our reading books told stories of the running of the sap up north. it fascinated meat we made our syrup from sugar cane.

I just love this time of year when we see those sap buckets hanging on the trees.
We've actually done that a few years! Oh, my goodness...cooking it down is work, but the rewards are so delicious.
This picture makes me want to read the chapters in Little House in the Big Woods that talk about the maple syrup gathering!
