I had a nice break but have missed you all! I've seen most of your blogs, but wasn't commenting much in the interest of saving time. I thought I would share a little of what I was doing during this time.
I had a nice Thanksgiving. I worked in the morning, then Bob and I went to my sister Cheri's house for dinner. It was a small group as our kids were with their in-laws, one of her daughters had to work, my Dad was with my step-moms family and our sister Terri was with her hubby's family. We usually have the whole group every other year and this was the off year. We had a very nice time though, and yummy food!
The day after Thanksgiving was my birthday . I had to go into work for the night shift, so I spent the morning sleeping, but then started working on putting up the tree and the decorations in the house. Laura and the girls came over and brought me lunch, which was a nice surprise. Bob and I went out for supper that night.
On Tuesday I had a full day. I had my annual mammogram in the morning, and then drove to Holland, MI.(30 minutes from my home) A friend of mine just moved there, so I went to see her new home. We had lunch and did some shopping.
After we finished shopping, we drove to the beach on Lake Michigan, which is 5 minutes from her home. It's always fun to see the lake and lighthouses!
I had some productive days off from work. I finished my Christmas shopping and wrapped my gifts, got my cards addressed and ready to go out later this week, got all my Christmas decorating done and did some cleaning. That feels good!
Thursday I was back at work, and life is quickly back to normal. :)

I have missed you and glad you are back, but equally glad you had some productive time away from work. It is good to be caught up, especially this time of the year. Sounds like you had a happy birthday during that time too. Happy Monday!

I missed you too! You are so on the ball! We have yet to pull out the decorations from the attic above the garage :( Life has just been so busy, even on the weekends.
Normal has a way of showing up after a vacation, doesn't it??
Happy Happy belated Birthday, Mari! Yes, I've missed you also, but glad you had wonderful days off before going back to work. :)

Happy Birthday, Mari! It's good to have you back;) I love the red lighthouse picture. I can just imagine a Christmas wreath decorating it.
Welcome back Mari! It's too bad you had to work both Thanksgiving and your birthday. Boo! But it looks like you have some good times too.
We were just in Holland this summer! We went to the indoor swim park there, and a park on the campus of Hope College. It's so pretty there!
Blessings,
Ceil
Happy Birthday, Mari. Your holiday sounds great and I love the way your family cherishes you. You're a hard-working gal and deserve the very best. Hope you have a wonderful, blessed year.
I am glad that you had Thanksgiving with Cheri and had a happy birthday. You got a lot of much needed things done and worked too!
You are awesome! HUG~
I'm so sorry I forgot your birthday, Mari. A belated glad-it-was-happy and I hope you'll forgive me! You know I love you. I'm glad you're getting to do some things you enjoy doing, this Christmas season, in addition to your responsibilities at work. xoxo
