Wednesday Photo

This little flower has been hanging on to our hydrangea tree all winter.  It won't be long till new growth forces it to fall off.

Isn't that amazing? How in the world could it hold on through wind, rain and snow? Crazy!

That's tenacity! Almost reminds me of some of our seniors at the nursing home - one sweet soul in particular - a volunteer of mine years ago. She never opens her eyes, she does not speak any more, doesn't move on her own, otherwise unresponsive too, is a few months short of 100 and yet she has been hanging on for almost two decades! I don't know why I connected these two!

Such a pretty picture. Soon the old will be gone and the new will come. It reminds me of how I am a new creation :)

That is truly amazing. They say oaks are tough but I think this hydrangea is stiff competition.

Hi Mari! Hard to believe that this little guy has been able to hang out all winter! We've had such a frightful winter that it would have crushed I think.

At this time of the year, when we all think about rebirth, it is wonderful to think how your plant will soon sprout with new blooms. I pray that I will do the same!
Blessings,
Ceil

Reminds me a little bit like us, we don't like to give up our comfort zones until God brings along something much better. But it's more like we have to fall off to see that something better is waiting for us instead in God's world. His plan is always so much better than the one we have in mind.

I love hangers-on. There is a lesson in that. xoxo
