Are we really that old?

My friend Shelly sent me an email with these pictures in it. It's such a reminder of how time flies! Most of these are people I either watched on tv or was pretty aware of when I was young. If they are all getting older, it appears I am too!
It reminds me that our time here on this earth is short and we need to use it wisely.

Hope you enjoy seeing these faces from the past.

Ken Osmond - Eddy Haskell now 66

Donny Most - Ralph Malph now 56

Sharon Gless and Tyne Daily - Cagney and Lacey now 66 and 33

Kelly McGillis - Witness and Top Gun now 52

Susan Dey - Laurie Partridge now 56

Catherine Bach - Daisy Duke now 55

The Captain and Tenile now 67 and 69

Mike Farrell - BJ now 70

Debra Winger - Urban Cowboy now 54

Tina Louise - Ginger now 75

Wow! Some have really aged in a harsh sort of way while others have aged softly.

Ha, Ralph Malph looks almost the exact same! (other than the hair)

Does that mean I'm getting old too? I remember these faces too! My niece's eyes about came out of her head when I told her how old I was going to be. :o)

Age is just a number. I can't help but feel these photos are a little cruel in a way. Beauty and youth comes from within, whatever the outer body says.

Interesting how some have aged better than others. I like the ones which acknowledge that the people are older, what is the point of pretending, but they can still have personality and look interesting to know - sometimes more so than when they are young.

"Ginger" is 75? OMGoodness...I would have never guessed. And personally, I think that Catherine Bach shows her age most, but that's just me. And Mike Farrell....he's still a heart throb...heck, he's the reason I never missed the 'newer' M*A*S*H episodes. LOL

Fun post.

Oh my this does bring back memories of when I was young, I grew up with a lot of these shows. That was when they put on good shows.
I can not believe how Ginger has aged what a shock.
Thanks for sharing them

Oh my goodness! Why is it so shocking? Of course they are getting older. Yet the picture that remains in our minds is of their faces long ago. Great reminder! (I think, lol!)

I think I would not like being in the public eye. I don't want my every line and wrinkle out there to be scrutinized, it's bad enough I do it to my own self!
What matters the most is the peace within, not the signs of age on the outside, and as one who is older then some of these people...I need to practice what I preach!

Wow, Ken Osmond looks waaayy older than 66 to me in the picture, but some of these people look pretty great for their ages! Interesting post, thanks!

Seriously!
We're watching the MASH series and so Mike Farrell still seems so young! Seeing him now is like looking into the future! Weird!

WOW. That IS an eye-opener, Mari! Of course I zero in on the women who are around my own age. I'm sorry but Susan Dey looks terrible. I am 55 and I have only a few wrinklies around my eyes (because I smile so much, HA). And good heavens, what happened to Kelly McGillis and Catherine Bach? I think there's a lot to be said for clean living! Oh and good genes.
