Works for me Wednesday

Today is a themed edition of Works for me Wednesday. Here is the challenge Shannon has for us: "It's 5:15 pm, the kids are hungry, you have a headache, hubby is almost home, and the pantry has three things in it. What is your BEST last-minute meal recipe? Share with everybody this week."
Now that is a tough challenge! In times like that we often have breakfast for supper, as in french toast or maybe scrambled eggs and bacon. Another thing I do is make grilled sandwiches. One of our favorites is to put thinly sliced roast beef, turkey, a slice of cheese and thinly sliced tomato on bread and grill it. You can vary the meat and cheese and add a little mayo or mustard if you like. Mmm good!
Check out Rocks in my Dryer for more ideas. I'll be interested to see other peoples ideas!

Too funny! Breakfast for dinner is what would happen at the Hill house. (And everyone would be thrilled.)
Smiles!

We love breakfast for supper too. But the grilled sdw. is great - the only problem is all I ever have is ham in the house with no tomatoes!

Pancakes would probably be happening or grilled cheese sandwiches.

That is one meal that I have taken with me into marriage, and Aaron LOVES it! He always asks, "Can we have grilled sandwiches for dinner?"

And they're quick and easy so I say "Yup!"

And I do the breakfast thing a lot too. He really likes omelettes also. (Except I learned that one from Dad!)

This is a great question. Who hasn't been there before?

Breakfast for dinner is what happens here sometimes. And it always feels like a treat, for some reason. Our other fallback is grilled cheese and tomato soup. Quick and easy.

This is fun!
