On Fathers Day we had my Dad and Ann and also Laura and Aaron for dinner. After dinner when Dad and Ann left we celebrated Bob's birthday and Fathers Day by giving him a Wii. He's never been into video games, but I kept hearing that everyone likes this one as it is different than normal video games. We all had fun trying it out and did more than our fair share of laughing as we watched each other bowl, golf, box and play tennis.
Here is Bob playing baseball.
Laura is bowling.
Heather was doing some training on baseball.
Aaron was playing tennis.
.
It looks like the game is a hit! Now we'll have to see what else is out there. If you have a Wii, what is your favorite game?

Looks like fun, I'm sure you will all become skilled in all the sports.
Hi Mari
Remember me? I've been so bad about blog reading lately...not because I don't want to read, but because of my crazy life recently. Lots of company, which has been wonderful and then all the medical tests, etc. You've been a busy, busy girl. I've really enjoyed reading all your posts I've missed and seeing all your photos, especially the ones of your gorgeous flowers.
Happy Father's Dad to your hubby. I want a Wii game too. I heard the Wii fitness game is really good.
Hugs!
Kat
Steve would absolutely love a Wii! You guys all looked like you had fun!
Y'all have the best time, don't you? Where was a picture of you playing something, hmmmm?
We don't have a game like that but it looks like a lot of fun!
Have a great week!
Yes Mom - where is a picture of you playing? I do seem to remember that Heather took some? How did they not make it on the blog? I see the nice photos of everyone else did...
I just get to play it at Cheri's!
Halle would like to vs you all at bowling- I bet she would kick some booty!!!
She can beat us all!
ohhhh another family moment brought together by Wii. Don't you just love that thing.... you can't help but have fun with it :)
Lindsey and Beto have one and everyone in our family enjoyed the tennis best, but baseball was a close second.
Oh I LOVE our Wii....we have a lot of games but our favorites are Mario Party 8, Bowling, Tennis and believe it or not.....Guitar Hero LOL
Oh and Mario and Sonic at the Olympics is a lot of fun too :)
Hugs,
Sandra
oh - i am sooo jealous - i want one but i think my living room is way too small - i can touch the tv with my foot from the couch (almost)!
can't wait to hear about tennis elbow!
Fun, fun, fun. I hear the fitness is great also. What a great gift:)
I think I must be really out of it. I still don't know what a Wii even looks like. Guess I should look at the ads that come with my newspaper once in a while instead of throwing them in the trash right away. Maybe I'd catch up with the times!!
I liked bowling on my sisters Wii. I stared huffin & puffin...but then it dosen't take much :)
Have fun!!
We LOVE the Wii. I would like to get the new one with the foot pad thing- I can't remember what it's called.
Do you know that my mom (who has no children living at home) (nor grandchildren living closeby) wants a Wii?
I, too, have hear they are a lot of fun. I sure wish you had video footage-----I bet there was a LOT of laughter going on!
Be sure to compile a list of favorite games in a post for us too.
WE do have a Wii. The kids like to play it when there are several people over. I have not tried it yet, but I should!
