Cooking Thursday

We usually have buns or sandwiches of some sort on Sunday night.  This past Sunday I made something I hadn't made for some time, a recipe my mom got from my aunt.  It's a hot sandwich you can put in the crockpot to keep warm.  It has only 3 ingredients and is very easy to throw together, especially if you have chicken pre-cooked.

Hot Chicken Sandwiches

4 cups cooked, shredded chicken
1 can cream of celery soup
1 teaspoon seasoned salt

Stir all ingredients together, then heat and serve on buns.

Wordles Wednesday

It doesn't feel like it, but here's a sign that Spring really is on the way!

A Day in my Life

I hope you all had a nice Easter!  I didn't have to work and we enjoyed our day.  Here's some pictures of what we did.

We started with a wonderful service at church.  Our service was done shortly before noon and we headed to Laura and Aaron's house where we were invited for dinner.
The sky is blue and the sun is shining, but it was very cold!  (And snow is predicted this week!)

Here's our girlies, peaking out the window and waiting for dinner.

Laura had a beautiful table set...

 with flowers...

and these pretty placemats that she made.

Even the dog was dressed for the occasion!

We had brought a little Easter bag for the girls and they had fun opening it after dinner.

Here they are, playing with one of the little toys inside.

Then it was time for an egg hunt.  Here's Ruby finding an egg.

She had a hard time running around, holding her dress and that basket!

 Happy girls!

And what fun to see what was in the eggs!

It was a very nice afternoon.  We went home and just relaxed for the rest of the day.

Easter was the main focus of the day, but it was also April Fools Day.  Laura said Alaina had been quite excited about that, so she pranked both girls in the morning.  She put cereal and milk in their bowls with a spoon and froze it.  Then in the morning, she and Aaron were telling them that they needed to hurry and eat so they could get ready for church. Both girls were saying that they couldn't get their spoon out!  Alaina thought it was quite funny when she was telling us about it.
