Spring Break?
This week is Spring Break for most of the schools around here. It seems that the weather is often good the week before and the week after the break. We'll see what happens this year, but we aren't off to a good start!
It's been quite warm and has been raining. The snow was melted and we thought we had seen the end of it for the year, but then we were told that we would probably get a little snow. On Saturday morning they predicted 1-2 inches. I was at work and the morning started sunny and bright. We wondered if the weathermen had gotten it wrong and the snow would miss us. It turns out they did - but not because of nice weather. They just under calculated the amount of snow.
Around 10:30 in the morning it started snowing.
It was snowing and blowing!

I ended up working late and left around 5. On my drive home, the snow had really tapered off.
This is what we ended up getting - 9 inches! And that was in about 5 hours. Most of it melted on Sunday, but we have snow flurries most of Monday. At least it didn't stick. I hope that's the end of it!

A Day in my Life
It's April! Hope April 1 was a good day for you. Here's how I spent my day.
I had the day off and got to sleep in and have a leisurely morning. I had a cold so it was a nice morning for that!
I did a few loads of laundry - it never ends, right?
I had some bananas that were getting brown, so I made a few loaves of banana bread. While it was baking I did some cleaning around the house.
It was a cloudy morning, and wasn't too warm - 44 degrees. I wandered around the yard and saw these signs of Spring. The daffodils are almost ready to open and the wild violets are blooming in our wooded areas.
We have a few family weddings coming up in the next month and I needed something to wear. I went to our local mall and had a successful shopping trip!
Then it was time to do the weekly grocery shopping.
On the way home I took my dirty car through the car wash. It looks much better!
When Bob got home, we went out for supper with some friend, and afterward spent some time at their house. It was a fun evening and a productive day!
