Six word Memoir Meme

I was tagged by Karen for this meme.

The Rules:
1. Write your own Six-Word Memoir.

2. Po
st it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you want.
3. Link to the person that tagged you in your post and to the original post if possible so we can track it as it travels across the blogosphere.

4. Tag at least five more blogs with links.

5. Leave a comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play.

It was hard to come up with something and limit it to six words, but this is what I came up with.

God's in control, I'm at peace.
I must admit that I have to remind myself of that at times, when I start stressing about things, but it is such a comfort to know that God is in control. Because He has a reason for things that happen, although I may not always understand, I can rest in his care.

That's mine. I'm not going to follow all the rules, because I'm not tagging anyone else, but feel free to play along if you want to!

A wee bit of love from New Zealand

Look what I found in my mailbox! Can you see the postmark in the corner? It came all the way from New Zealand! Karen, from Karen's Rambling sent this lovely surprise, to give us a little taste of her country. I am supposed to share it with my sisters, but I'm still thinking about that!
When I opened it, a small shower of feathers and glittery hearts fell out. Then I found this:
Karen sent 3 types of chocolate and 3 New Zealand rulers. She also sent a little cook book with recipes from Guernsey, which is where she was born. It was fun looking at recipes that are different than what we are used to.

Last, but certainly not least, I found this. It is the source of the feathers and glitter. It's a lovely picture made by Karen's 4 year old daughter. I think she did a great job and I have it hanging on my refrigerator. Thank you, Emma - I don't have any little girls to make pictures for me anymore, so I am really enjoying this one!
I did tell Terri and Cheri that this had arrived and I'll share it with them. I'll even let them have a chance to enjoy Emma's artwork for a while.
Thanks Karen, for thinking of us. It was a really fun thing to find in the mail!
