Kitchen, phase 3

You may remember that Bob has been busy working on a kitchen project at Heather's house.  It's not a quick project. He's been working on it in phases. That way the whole thing isn't torn up at once and they can still use it. Here's a few pictures to show you what's been done so far.

This was phase 1; the upper cabinets on one wall. The old cabinets were torn out along with the bulkhead and the new cabinets that Bob built were installed.

Phase 2: Lower cabinets removed. New cabinets, dishwasher, sink and countertops installed.

And now on to phase 3.

This phase started with the removing of most of the wall between the kitchen and dining room. This would let everything be more open, and give space for a tall pantry to be added.  It was a messy job!

Ready for installation!  I was following Bob to Heather and Andew's house. He had the pantry pieces in the back of his truck.

You can see where the wall was removed and where the pantry was going.

And here it is, all installed!

This is what's inside; on the bottom is trash and recycling, in the middle is something on the door for wraps, bags and foils.  There's a deep drawer for utensils and some shelves. The top is lots of shelves for storage!

Everyone was hard at work on the little details.

Cassie loves to help!

This is where we're at right now.  The trim has to be finished, a tile backsplash will go up and the window needs to be trimmed out. Then new flooring will go in, and work will start on the other side of the room. It's already so much better and Heather has lots more storage than she started with.

Cassie is too cute! Love that he did it stages and that they could use the space in between.

Your husband is so talented! I love that the top cabinets go to the ceiling. I have a small kitchen and when we remodeled (many moons ago) I ran my cabinets all the way to the ceiling too. I store seasonal dishes and items I use infrequently at the top.
And that pantry cabinet! Wow! She will be so organized and have so much storage. And everything looks so crisp and clean. Just wonderful.

I love an open concept!! The arch above the sink is really lovely. And I like the combination of the cabinet color and the hardware. Bob is a talented carpenter.

Wow beautiful and I am so jealous of the pantry. I still don't have shelves in mine, sigh. Wishing you a beautiful day, Mari.

Well that is perfectly beautiful and so charming and I know that Heather is overjoyed to have the project moving along! A woman's kitchen is so important. Cherica are shopping for a new house now and I have gone with them to look at a few, and wow there are some nightmares out there, haha! Houses that have received the touch of a master builder like Bob are thin on the ground. Cassie helping is a sight to behold, haha! Love me some Cassie Lou ... xoxo 🏴‍☠️

It sure is looking great. That pantry will be so handy. I love a white kitchen. Ken and I have redone a couple of kitchens and know what a job it is, but so worth it when finished.
