Bob and I have been trying to get out and enjoy some time outside before the weather really changes and we don't want to be out there.
We're really blessed in our area by a trail system that's been set up to run near the Grand River for many miles. It's a continuous trail that's 36 miles long, from Grand Rapids to Grand Haven and is designed for walking and biking, and in some areas kayaking and canoeing.
We've walked several sections of this trail, and went walking on it again recently. We did a section we've walked before, but went a little further this time.

It was a great way to enjoy sunshine and God's beautiful creation!

Oh how pretty. The river reminds me of my Sacramento river and we too have a trail system for biking, walking, and skating. I like that pathway too. What a romantic place to be. The wildflowers are so colorful.
Wish we had a place as pretty as that to go out and explore and walk. The two wildflowers were gorgeous.

What a magical place to walk and kudos to Michigan for setting up trails for enjoying the outdoors. 36 miles of walking places is quite a huge set aside place for people to enjoy.

You really do have some magical areas to walk in. Here we do have woods and a lot of beaches, docks and waterfronts, but none of the really cool architecture that you seem to have in your parks. I think that makes the walk so much more interesting!!
Mari, I have never seen a more beautiful place to walk! Really! Your pictures all look like paintings that should be framed. Sure makes our little dirt path look boring. :)
