A night out

This past week I went to a play with a few friends.  My friend Becky had gotten tickets for herself and the three of us and given them to us for Christmas.  Becky has been going through some cancer treatments and she knew she would be out of commission from January to March.  Since this play was at the end of March, it gave her an outing to look forward too.  This group of friends usually gets together once or twice a month, and although we've seen each other, we haven't spent time together as a group since December, so we we all anticipating this evening.
 (Me, Rose, Becky, Bonnie)

We went out for supper first and had a little time before the play, so we stopped to do some card shopping at a nearby dollar store.  (We're a pretty wild group!)

This was the setting for the play.  It's a Lutheran church basement in the 60's, and was set in Minnesota.  This was the fourth installment of a series about the "church basement ladies".  The ladies are a varying ages and are working in the church kitchen.  I enjoyed seeing some of the old props, and the 60's hair-dos.  We all had a lot of laughs.  We also enjoyed the laughter of the man behind us, who grew up in a Lutheran church in Minnesota - in the 60's!
What fun to laugh and enjoy some good company!

You look beautiful in that photo, Mari! Wow!

I love that picture of you, Mari! I like your blue scarf, too! That is my kind of night out. I always shop at the Good Will and the Dollar store. I am glad that you got to use this time to encourage your friend who has been undergoing treatment for Cancer.

I'm sure the evening was fun for everyone especially the one with cancer. Friends are so important - all the time - but especially when you have health issues.

The chairs look like they are from the 50's! Sounds like you had a lot of fun. So you buy your greeting cards from Dollar Tree, great idea! :D
