A whale's Tale! (and a giveaway)

I was asked to do a review of a children's book recently, and although I don't usually do book reviews, the idea of this book intrigued me.
The name of this book is:
'Hey God, I've got some Guy named Jonah in my stomach and I think I'm going to throw up!'
As you may have figured out, it's the story of Jonah and the whale, but this time it's told from the whale's perspective.
God gave this whale a task and he ran (or swam) from it, just like Jonah ran from the task of going to Ninevah.  However, God still used the whale and in the end, both the whale and Jonah learn a lesson.
The book is cute and I think kids will enjoy it.  I really like something at the end of the book called the Parent Connection.  It gives ideas on activities you can do and things you can talk about to teach them even more.

The publishers have given me another copy of the book to give away.  If you would like this book for your kids or to give away, just leave a comment.  I'll be drawing a winner and will post it Monday night.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received one or more of the products or services mentioned above for free in hope that I would mention it on my blog. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255: "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.

Awwwwww. Great title. Funny story. Sometimes it is hard to listen to God, isn't it?

I've seen a review for the book. It sounds like it's really a cute read. I'm not entering because I don't have grandkids (yet) but I'm sure so many will love it.

Oh, it sounds like a GREAT book. Wishing I had a youngster to share it with if I were to win. But, my grandkids are not a young age, nor do I have anyone in the immediate family that is younger than 40. So I'll not need to be added to your drawing...good luck to whomever wins. It will be a treasure I'm sure.

Maybe I'll find it at the bookstore and sit down and read it...just to read the story tho.

No kids, no grandkids...but enjoy kids and kid's stories. Veggie Tales are my favorite...especially the "Pirates Who Don't Do Anything"! I don't really need the book, just love the title! Hi Mari.
