We continue to have nice weather; not quite as warm as last week, but still above average. I read that our trees and plants are about 4 weeks ahead of average. Of course this brings some concerns for fruit farmers and they say the bugs and mosquitoes will soon be here too.
I am really enjoying the color and blooms I'm seeing around here.

The forsythia are blooming.
In my neighbors yard, I'm greeted by their beautiful redbud tree.
Down the street, the field of rye grass is bright green.
The little grape hyacinths are showing their cheerful faces.
The buds are starting to appear on the snow ball bush.
I love the delicate blooms on the dogwood tree,
Bob helped Heather build this little birdhouse when she was just a little girl. It's waiting for someone to move in!
And up front, our oak leaf hydrangea's leaves are just starting to unfurl.

There are so many beautiful things about every season. Spring has all of the flowers and trees in bloom, along with all the adorable creatures. I am enjoying spring even more this year because we're getting so much more than we usually do.

Forsythia is my favorite.
I love spring! We have grape hyacinths growing all over the place here in my backyard. J says that it is called the Oregon grape. Too bad they aren't edible! :)

Spring is a lovely time with all the news signs of life, and colour. Lovely photos.
Love the weathered birdhouse! And the dogwood blossoms...and the redbud tree [these are the ones with heart shaped leaves, right?] and the grape hyacinth [ours are 'done' blooming already]....but I must say I've never heard of oak leaf hydrangea....Wow.

Mari....Spring is everywhere at your place. All the flowers and buds are so pretty. Today it is in the 40’s and we are freezing. The school does not turn on the heat at times like this. Yesterday was colder because of the winds blowing. Love that vibrant GREEN grass. Yep...spring has strung! genie
I love spring...it's full of hope. My daughter loves the forsythia so much she even wrote a blog about it yesterday! I wish they would stay so vibrant yellow, they just say "happy"!

gorgeous stuff! :) i'm worried about how it will all affect our peach trees, but i suppose we're not out anything if the bugs eat them up (well not compared to farmers at least!)

The forsythia is beautiful as well. I am like you though hope they aren't poking their heads out to soon. In Oklahoma we used to see snow sometimes at Easter and would lose all the pretty blooms ahead of schedule.

Last night we had a frost advisery and thankfully, it didn't get that chilly. But we have a long way to go before we are in the clear from the cold spells.
