Urgent Prayer Request

A blogging friend has a son that needs prayer. He ate something bad yesterday and had to be taken by helicopter to the hospital. She asked that we post this and pray for him. His name is Nathan and her name is Lorie. You can check out her blog here.

7 Weird Things about me

Rebekah from Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe and Kim from Gathering Stones have tagged me for this meme. Here are the rules for this one:

"Simply link to the person who tagged you. SHARE SEVEN WEIRD things about yourself. Tag SEVEN bloggers to do the same AND include a link to their blog. Let each person know that they have been tagged and finally post the rules on your blog."

This should be pretty easy for me - I have been known to be weird at times! So here you go - 7 things:
~
1) I have never flown! I'm not afraid of it, but the opportunity has never come up.
~
2) I can't stand to just sit and watch tv or a movie. I am usually playing my Nintendo or reading while I am watching.
~
3) My family says I eat pie backwards. I start from the crust and eat in.
~
4) I don't like coffee. I've tried but just can't drink it.
~
5) I don't like to sit in the sun. If we are at a beach or pool, I will be the one sitting under the umbrella or tree.
~
6) I often talk to the computer, people on tv and people on my Nintendo games.
~
7) I make up crazy little rhymes and songs. I sing these goofy songs to my kids who don't always appreciate them and to the residents at the nursing home who laugh at me.
~
Here are my seven people. I know some of them are pretty weird! Laura, Heather, Terri, Karen, Joanne, Bonnie and per Jennifer Hills suggestion - Mrs. Patty. She doesn't have a blog but she's reading all of ours from church. She is also pretty weird, so she can list hers here! Have fun!

Crazy Michigan Weather

This week we have had some unseasonably warm weather here in Michigan. The temperatures were in the 50's and of course all the snow melted. Last night when I left work, it looked as if there was a little snow blowing in my headlights but it was 42 degrees. I thought I was imagining things. About an hour and 1/2 later it was thundering and lightning, but when I looked outside what did I see? Snow on the ground! This morning all was white. One school in the area was delayed. Interestingly enough, it happens to be this person's school who always says her kids never get snow days or delays! So I thought I would post a few pictures of what is going on in Michigan for some of my blogging friends who don't get to experience this weather. For Andy in Virginia, my niece in Spain, and friends in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Florida, Georgia, California (#1, #2), Arizona, North Carolina, and those three crazy bloggers in South Carolina ( #1, #2, #3), here is what winter in Michigan looks like! (I hope I didn't miss any of you. I have a few blogging friends that I don't know where they live!) Here is our street.
The Pine trees look so pretty with the snow hanging on them.

A little corner in our backyard near Bob's wood shop.

Our front walk.
~
I just finished shoveling the walk and the driveway. It has been snowing quite hard at times, but is warm enough that the snow on the branches is melting. I am now a mess, from melting plops of snow dropping on my head. I'm off to fix up my hair which looks about like it did when I got out of the shower this morning!
