Today I'm sharing some of the things I put out at Christmas that are special to me.
These are old fashioned Santa ornaments that Bob carved quite a few years ago. I enjoy seeing them on the tree every year.
My sister Terri, gave me this ornament last year, the first year without our Dad present. It has his name, birth date and death date. The little piece hanging down has a glass piece in it, and if you look into it, his picture is there.
One of my patients' daughters gave this to me. Her mom made these bells before she was afflicted with Alzheimer's disease. Her daughter and I are still friends, and I treasure this bell.
My sister Cheri gave me this ornament after my mom passed away. She found someone who could transfer this writing from a card from mom and put it onto fabric. Another special ornament.
Another carving that Bob did.
Last, but not least is this nativity set that always holds a place of honor. Laura made this out of modeling clay when she was 16. A few things have chipped over the years but it's a treasure.
Here's a close up. It has an angels, the shepherds and wise men, cows, a camel, a donkey, sheep and even chickens.Hope you enjoyed my sentimental Christmas favorites!

Yes I enjoyed it all. The ornament that has a photo of your dad is really interesting. My goodness I would love to find this. And, the writing of your mom was amazing. Wow.
Bob sure has talent in woodcrafting.
Wow! You certainly have some very special pieces! The one honoring your mom and dad just melted my heart. Bob certainly does a fabulous job with making those Santa ornaments. And the nativity scene...oh my heart! It is precious!
I just LOVE what Bob carved - they are such beautiful and expressive pieces.
And what a great idea - to have your mom's handwriting captured. I love that idea.
Laura did a wonderful job, and this is now a treasured family heirloom. WOW, bob is so talented, I am very impressed with his Santas, each one different! All of these ornaments are so special and filled with such love and memories.

Yes, I did enjoy seeing your special Christmas things. You have some talented family members! I love how each of your pieces have a story to tell.
I was wondering if your sister might have a contact for the lady who made the ornament with your mom's writing on it. That is really special.
Those are wonderful and I can see how every one of them is special!
I adore your ornaments. I especially loved the nativity. To think that it is clay but yet it tells the story so well. Your family is very talented, including your granddaughters. I am enjoying seeing the creativity you all have.
these are all special and really beautiful. love the adorable nativity but most of all the carvings are amazing, even awesome is a good word. Jealous is how I feel and wish I could carve like that
Yes, I most definitely enjoyed your sentimental Christmas favorites. The ornaments regarding your parents are especially dear.

Oh my! I am impressed with your husband's Santa carvings! Those are outstanding! And then that Nativity that your daughter made with clay! Wow! That is really a treasure. Then those ornaments, one for your father and the other with your mother's handwriting on it...that is really really special. Made me cry. What a treasure, and great idea!! Thank you for sharing your special ornaments with us. They really are wonderful! Merry Christmas!
Very special keepsakes, indeed! Bob's Santas are so well done and Laura's Nativity is priceless. Your mom's handwriting and the heart with your dad's photo keeps them both with you and the beaded bell is lovely. Thanks for sharing, Mari.
Hi Mari! You have many special and meaningful Christmas ornaments. I love that nativity. Your home is already for a lovely, memorable Christmas!
Sentimental Christmas treasures are the best, Mari. You have so many lovely ones. I think Bob's Santas are incredible and clearly, Laura inherited some of his artsy talent. The nativity is precious!
Those decorations are definitely the most precious. The ones with such deep meaning. Love the story behind every single one. The Mom ornament with her writing choked me up as I think of my own Mom who is aging. Thanks for sharing!
Those are delightful ornaments. That's so special. We have some of those too. They're all so precious.
Merry CHRISTmas y'all! Hope all your days are bright and happy. 😊
