Oh boy that takes me back. One night in the summer, we had the windows up, and something woke me up, there was a huge raccoon with his paws on the screen looking into our room and just making a ruckus.. it scared me a little as it looked as though it was trying to get through the screen. I turned on the light thinking it would run away but that made it worse. My husband meanwhile had gotten up and in typical fashion thought going out there would make it see sense and flee.. I didn't think it was a good idea. Well, he went out there and far from running away the raccoon actually tried to attack him (it had to have been ill). My husband grabbed a boat oar off the porch to fend it off until he could go around the other side of the house and get in. I've never looked at raccoons as cute little critters ever since. :)
