I thought I should let you know how things are going with a few things I've posted about previously. First, I thank you for your prayers for my sister-in-law Jan. She is still in the hospital. It's been a little over 2 weeks and she is making progress in little "jerks" in her words. The progress is slow with an occasional step backwards, but improvement can be seen. The infection is stopped, but she has a couple of wounds, one quite sizable that now need to heal. Her blood counts are still not good, so this makes healing slow. She is still undergoing the plasma phoresus and it is doing what it needs to do. When these issues are under control, they will be starting her chemo treatments again. Please continue to pray for her and her family.

Many of you know that things have been difficult at the long term care center I work at. We had a state inspection which happens yearly. They always come back for a follow up visit, but this year, shortly after the state was there we had a federal survey. They choose places randomly and this year was our lucky year. In the middle of this we have been changing all of our paperwork and forms because we were bought by a new corporation. There have been more consultants there than employees it would seem and they are not always too pleasant to deal with. I had today (Tuesday) off, but got a phone call that the state surveyors are back for their return visit. This means that on Wednesday, they will be following me, watching a med pass and asking lots of questions. They tend to be quite intimidating so I would really appreciate your prayers for the ability to remain calm and do my job as I need to, under a stressful situation.

Many of you have asked how my son Andy is doing. For those of you who don't know him, Andy is in the army, stationed in South Korea. He works on arming and maintaining the Apache helicopters. He really enjoys his work and has been able to see some of the beauty of Korea. If you want to check up on him, he has started a blog that you can visit here.

Last, but not least I received this cute award last week, from my friend Sharon at Quiet Reflections. Thanks Sharon! I'd like to pass this to anyone reading this who enjoys Fall.

Somehow I had missed your post about Jan, so I just went back and read it. I will pray for her. Praise God for PRAYER and that it does make a difference. That's what I just posted about tonight.
I will also pray for your situation at work. And I'm glad Andy is doing well.
Mari,
Oh my! Those inspections are no fun, that's for sure. I will keep you in my prayers that you will remain calm and do your job to the best of your ability. Those inspectors intimidate people on purpose. It is their goal to make life miserable, I think. LOL At least that's how it seems. You will be fine, my friend. Just go about your job and try your best to forget they're behind you.
Blessings,
Mary
Glad to hear Jan is doing better! Also will pray for you today at work! Why those people feel they have to be intimatdating to get their job done is beyond me! Stay strong! Tell Nancie to also!
Mari, I pray you are not too stressed tomorrow at work...or today rather. (it's -2am, an hour past my bedtime.) And I will go take a look at your son's blog now, quickly before I hit the hay. (I worked in Korea, on a Mission's Trip, for a month and loved it!)G'night
Mari, I will be praying for you and Nancy and others today. Prayer does make a difference! Even when it is turbulent around us, may we have peace within. God bless you today!
I will pray that today goes well. Yuck. Who needs extra stress in their life anyways.
Praying for you today.
Knowing God sees all and knows your situation I am believing for a good day today. May you feel peace and confidence as you do your work with skill and compassion.
Thanks for the update.
Maribeth, It sounds like you need a vacation. There are so many things on your mind right and it seems like there's no end in sight. Just breathe, it's relaxing, calming and a much needed 10 second break. Gods hand is on your shoulder so carry on....k
woa that would be tough having someone looking over your shoulder. hopefully they will be full of a fun personality and help you feel at ease.
Thanks for the updates, and I'll look forward to one on how today went for you. Prayerfully with flying colors!

I'll say a little prayer for you...I know what you're going through at work. Yes, they can be intimidating can't they!
Ohhh that has to be so stressful. Work is hard enough at times, but to be watched like that...Praying. Also keeping Jen in my prayers. So glad to hear that your son is doing well.
Wow, Mari, you have had a full plate lately. I sure hope that as you read this, you are home with your slippers on, feet up, breathing a sigh of relief after a blessed day with those inspectors.
