Cooking Thursday

Here's an easy Rice Krispie treat for Easter, or any other special occasion. You can change it by switching out cookie cutter shapes and everyone loves Rice Krispie treats, right?  This makes a bunch and they are fun when packaged individually.

Rice Krispie Cut Outs
5 tablespoons butter
15 ounces or 60 large marshmallows
9 cups Rice Krispies
Decorating sugar, frosting for details...

Grease a jelly roll pan.
Melt butter in large bowl in microwave. Add marshmallows and heat to melt, stirring frequently.
Stir in the Rice Krispies.
Spread mix into jelly roll pan, pressing flat with a buttered spatula.
Sprinkle decorating sugar in color of your choice over all and allow to cool.
Use cookie cutters in shape of your choice to cut out the treats.  Decorate by adding eyes, noses...  If making bunnies, you can attach a mini marshmallow as a tail using frosting.
Package individually in cellophane bags.  I used these from Amazon.

I am so happy that you posted these. I meant to ask you the other day how you and the girls made these "sweet" little bunnies. Thanks Mari.
